...Metrorail Was Under Construction
WTVJ's Al Sunshine checks on the progress of Miami-Dade's Metrorail, the elevated railway that would connect downtown Miami to the Dadeland area on the south and central Miami-Dade on the north.
Metrorail was controversial at the time; disruption of neighborhoods and construction noise were two points of contention. Sunshine finds a few locals to comment on the construction; one of them says the noise is nothing like the elevated train in Chicago. This story also includes an interview with Metrorail construction manager William McDonnell.
