Personally and that's me, not judging anyone, I refuse to carry appendix a gun without a manual safety. If I ever do it without a safety I will remove the holster from my withband, reholster the gun and then place it back on my withband.

my go-to gear is usually kinda expensive, but for whatever reason, this video reminded me that it doesn't REALLY matter how much money I spend, it comes down to carrying tools that have a purpose and carrying them as frequently as possible. I have a para military 3 in s45vn, but honestly, i have a really good blade sharpener and as long as i have a GOOD knife and i take care of it, it's all about what makes sense, and also remembering to carry the sucker as frequently as i can. a $50 in my pocket will do circles around a $200 knife that's stuck in between the couch cushions. great video! a good reminder to reevaluate my own carry and make sure it still makes sense!

No changes to my 43x but added hogue grips "most ergonomic feel"of any firearm I own! Next add-on "hawg holster". Came close to buying one of those Klein knives, they're putting out some good stuff. If you carry 2 pistols & can't use the same mag, that's an issue! I carry a gen 3 Glock 26 with a Pearce +0 XL mag extension, strong side, with a G19 reload. I have a gen 3 Glock 19 in my car & stick it between my seat & console. AZ is an open carry state with constitutional carry. I don't care if I print, momentarily! Add OC spray!
@SurvivalOnPurpose

I am Not as concerned about using the same mags. My 2nd gun is a backup or to hand to someone who is unarmed but capable. And one of the top ways criminals get guns is by stealing them out of vehicles. If you leave a gun in your car or truck, please use a lockbox.
@user-bl4hb1bq9t
7 ай бұрын
@@SurvivalOnPurpose No the number 1 reason why guns get stolen from their car. Is because they leave their car unlocked in their driveway! I know how to prevent car burglaries, period! Give a gun to someone else? I guess a friend/family member might know how to use a gun & not be old enough to carry. While that's possible. Is it probable? Attacks are close & fast! Will you have time to arm another person?
@SurvivalOnPurpose
7 ай бұрын
Locked doors don't prevent a smash and grab car burglary. I see so many people leaving guns in vehicles as if bad guys don't know how to break windows. A couple of years ago my truck window was broken into in broad daylight in a busy store parking lot (no, not Walmart). The cops said several trucks had been hit that day and a few guns stolen. My pistol was on my side but they did get a backpack full of camping gear (and it cost me a new replacement window). If there had been a pistol next to my seat they would have got it. And, if I don't have time to arm another person I probably won't need my backup gun anyway.

No. I started wearing the Wilderness Tactical Instructor belt after I bought one at Gunsite and sort of switched between it, a Klik Belt and a KORE Essentials, depending on how I felt that day. But when I got the Siege Belt and started carrying appendix, I liked the flexibility and, like I said, the "sag factor".
