BTW, the word "clock" comes from Dutch "klok" (bell), exactly because the first watches didn't have dials, but only had bells to signal the current time.

I love that this watch is clearly one which has been worn, with the micro-scratches and the like on the case back. So good to see these sort of watches actually get regular wear.

Great video, thank you, Watchfinder. So, this IWC watch is gorgeous, but even if I could afford it, I would pass. I would want a minute repeater that you can see the hammers striking the gongs. To have them hidden, I don't know, would feel I'm missing out somehow.

Beautiful watch for sure but really that is a ridiculous amount of extra delta cost and sorry but it’s not because an AP or a PP version cost a condo or 2 that it makes the GT4 a bargain.

I liked it when IWC made the Portuguese repeater with leaf hands and dotted minute track. Railroad style chapter ring nowhere in sight. The dial on this version fails the rest of this great watch.

Among all the functions or complications, repeater brings the extra dimension into the watch. I dreamed 20 years ago wishing to have a repeater watch while I was collecting repeater carriage clock. I wished someone would invent. Now. Seems all the makers are making it. I think in 20 years, the repeater pocket or carriage clock will be "back" as mechanical art.

Watchfinder being one of the few KZitem channels who didn’t have click bait titles made it special. Over the last year I’ve seen the creeping in of tabloid-esque titles. “You won’t believe what....” and many others. We’ve reached full influencer style with this big block text on the thumbnail and unnecessary capitals in the title. It’s only a matter of time until the host’s mouth is gaping in front of a saturated image of a patek inside a red circle. This is goodbye, watchfinder :(
