I love the Golden era of Bay Area rap, every time I scooped up a new CD I used to stare at the art work on the album and read the credits in there and see who produced the tracks and where it was recorded at and who did the mix and mastering, Dregs bro you been taking me back to the 90’s and 2000’s with these podcasts, if time could stand still I would love to be 18 years old slapping bay shit, tacking trips to go see my Oakland Raiders play on Sunday, and spitting game to h*#’s, that bay shit built this Central Valley Young Hogzillah Playa.

100 accurate! I am the Piero that he spoke of, and when we started playing together, I had the crazy energy and the songs, but Scotty had that discipline that he had learned from Bill Summers, and Confunktion, and the two together were unstoppable! I went on to sell a bunch of records in the Latin Rock world and Scotty took over Bay Area hip-hop. Love you big time scotty!

This is absolutely a great interview. I remember seeing One Drop Scott in CD credit all the Time. It’s great to hear Scott’s story. This has to be the best producer interviews I’ve seen. The history of the Bay Area music seen is deep, educational and well told through his life experiences. His story really should be made into a documentary, it will be truly educational and great for the Bay Area and music history in general.
