When Chief put it through the window is one the greatest scenes in film history.

This film is better than any horror movie ever made. And that goes for the Chucky movies, ‘cause the guy who plays Billy is also the voice of that Good Guy doll.

“Maybe he’ll just show nurse ratched his big thing and she’ll open the door for him” lol one of the best underrated lines of the film.

"Well, I tried, didn't I? God damn it. At least I did that." This was my favorite line, and the pivotal line in arguably the most significant scene in the story. I see this scene as analogous to how we can approach life with courage and honesty. There is dignity and growth that comes from knowing you showed up and gave something your best honest effort, even if you don't succeed. The worst thing you can do in life is to not even try because you are afraid you might fail. "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" - Wayne Gretzky.

I saw this film when it first came out in the 70's. It had a great impact on me. I didn't quite understand this line as I was rather young at the time but I did understand it was a crucial point in the film. Only a few years later I understood what it meant and I still often think about it. It is still one of the best films I have ever seen!

As a man who has been subject to the utter ruthlessness of women I relate to this more than you can know. I'm not allowed access to my baby because I don't fit the model of what my ex sees as a 'man'. Toxic masculinity is the cool thing to despise now, but not many people want to talk about toxic feminity. Even though it exists... Il always good a part of RP McMurphy in my heart.. thankyou jack Nicolson

yes and how on the boat scene in the book. Every time Chief Bromden noticed McMurphy stand back and just smile and laugh whenever the other passengers (these guys in the film) having their best time of their lives. Being themselves, acting like normal humans. That is what McMurphy wanted to see. He didn’t want to step in and help because he was happy to see them act “normal”. And you can tell they changed on how they acted before getting on the boat and how they acted coming off the boat. The doctor not being able to say anything. No one took him serious. But when they came back. The Doctor stood his ground to the police. At the point we see the character development. I prefer george’s character development because before the fishing trip. He was unsure of himself going to the trip. He didn’t speak much as well. But as soon as he saw sight of the boat and maneuvered the boat. His conscious came back. His life came back.
