The awning on that first truck is genius! I had a similar issue with my trailer awning. I ended up getting a quick connect system, mounted the awning on the side of the trailer, and welded a raised rail to the front of the trailer. When you get to camp, take the awning off the side, and mount it to the rail. Cheers guys!🎉

I have a basic redarc 12v isolator, sb120 I think, and that will bridge both batteries together for winching or starting if the start battery gets low for some reason...
@The_ElunduExpeditionProject
Ай бұрын
@@andrewcoulter323 Why do you have an isolator at all, why not just run both batteries in parallel all the time. I have had mine that way for the last five years and the car starts when I even look at the key! I can definitely hear the difference with just one bttery.
@t000nz
Ай бұрын
Chowy the complexity comment was about the whole 12V system: 3 batteries, Redvision, Inverter, Fridges etc. The bridging of batteries is simple, using a Redarc SBI12 battery isolator.

When it comes to the 2 antennas, you guys needs an expert to help you with bandwidth and antenna length. My son reckons with the right antenna you can only use one antenna. He is a radio technician....Feel free to speak to me about radio frequencies and antenna choices. The use of a Birdwatt meter and precise antenna length cutting will ensure your antenna resonates at the correct frequency to have the best reception (RSSI) available.

not convinced by lack of power made up for by gearing; just had a rental 10 speed 4 cylinder Everest and it struggled to overtake on the highway barely laden. E.g. I only just succeeded by the skin of my teeth, to get back in lane before a vehicle travelling the speed limit went pass; it only just started to show on the distant horizon when I popped out (day time flat road). It was the first time ever I felt I avoided a head on collision of my own doing. Mountain roads also weren't good on its performance. I can't imagine it doing towing or being fully laden.
