1:02 additional hack: two towels: 1. Small plam of hand and a bit size 2.full-size turkish or linen 1. For first wet wipe, small so can squeeze out most of water (like a sponge) & still dries reasonably quickly 2. For nice dry, it almost dry most of the time but make a great difference When I need to pack before 1. is fully dry, I wrap a small one into a big one 👌

Great content again. Thank you to remind me to replace my old leather belt with these Arcade ones. I started wearing jogger pants during my onebag trips and totally forgot about it. It's more practical and light weight. I got pairs of exofficio and love/hate them at the same time. They stared pilling just 1 or 2 washes and you can't do anything about that when on the road. Then I gave up and started enjoy wearing them.
@joshfenn

Leather belts still have their place for me, but the comfort and convenience with these are so hard to beat. My exofficios have held up pretty well! I’ve got a bit of pilling but it’s relatively minor, the higher rise is just extremely comfortable for me on top of the quick dry material. Glad they’re mostly working well for you too!

NocFree 👀 What do you think of the "hack" of using a classic horseshoe style body pillow as a packing cube? Store jacket, socks or other soft clothes to free space in your bag, and having the pillow on in transit?

That’s a really clever idea! I’ve done something similar when backpacking - stuffing my puffy jacket into a UV Buff as a pillow, this would probably work just well if not better

I prefer espresso, and I've moved from the Picopresso to the Outin for my travel over the past few trips. I added the Plus package to it, which has a 18g basket. I've dialed in the grind setting (on the same grinder you had on screen, actually!), and since then it has been the better solution for me. Great to see this review!
@joshfenn

Good to hear and know! Almost went with a picopresso but the built in water heating in this was too good to pass up. Didn’t realize they had a basket upgrade until after the fact, I think I would have been much happier with it if I had known. The VSSL grinder came through so well for me though with the fine grind!

Definitely going to be checking out those Sunglasses. My go to sling for quite a while now has been the Bellroy Venture 2.5L. Thank you! I made some upgrades a while back and tried to learn a bit more about audio editing - it’s not quite where I’d like it ideally but have been happy with the sound. Using the mkh50 + zoom f6 recorder, running through some basic free plugins for audition. Don’t remember the full stack off the top of my head but it’s pretty basic eq and compression, made my own preset last year to streamline things.

Would you happen to have any recommendations for a garment steamer that is small enough for one-bag travel? I want to do my own laundry with my limited capsule wardrobe. Also, could you recommend any winter packable jacket/parka brand that can go below freezing -10C -> -20C? Thank you
@joshfenn
26 күн бұрын
No luck on a small enough steamer in my experience unfortunately. I’ve found a few but they’re still quite large for one bag stuff, but it’s been top of mind and I’ll definitely share if I come across anything worth mentioning. For the jacket/parka - I have a couple that might be worth checking into! Not a parka but I’m a huge fan of the outdoor vitals nova pro. It’s extremely light and Packable at the slight expense of aesthetics - should have no problem at -10c and could probably take it further with layering. Last winter I found some really nice (but expensive) lightweight parkas from UBR - the titan parka is extremely warm and light for what it is but would still be pretty large to pack
