Canada Steamship Lines has a long and storied past - but a lot of their fleet is pretty new. I caught up with the Atlantic Huron - a vessel built in 1984 still hauling cargo on the Great Lakes and St Lawrence. The Atlantic Huron has a unique looking bow section with its sharp angles, very different to other Great Lakes freighters and even unsimilar with salties.
The CSL Atlantic Huron is mostly a grain hauler, though she does take on different cargo. She carries grains from the West side of the lakes to Eastern ports, and her self unloader is equipped with a boom hood which helps prevent the grains from going all over the place and making a mess.
This was filmed by myself on my DJI Mavic 3 Classic on the St Mary's River, just downstream of the Soo Locks. Music is Two Ways by Marscott, licensed through Audiio. I edited the footage together using DaVinci Resolve 19.
