Yeah I agree with the leader. I get a Better hook up ratio using either floro or mono, mostly (8’ leader)mono for my top water. Great video, got notifications on all, brotha. #tightlines

@@Flippencz appreciate you supporting the content brotha! It’s a small little detail but it does seem like it makes a difference forsure. Definitely that little extra stretch helps with the trebles

Same. Been using a topshot of Sunline Supernatural mono and it's been great.

By far, the best underrated channel. The problem with that design in particular are the hook hangers. The perpendicular design will kick fish. It's simple logic and observation. Notice this a lot first time using it. Once the fish turns the corner, the split rings slide across, throwing your fish. This is what happens when companies want to be different so much. There are ways to make the hook up ratio increase, but it costs hella money. That lure design is heavily flawed, but they get bites. I lost more than 90% of my fish the first two days of using it.

@@wolverinex4243 interesting. I do think that any treble hooked bait without rotating hook hangers definitely gives the fish that extra leverage to turn and pull off, but idk if i’ve noticed it with those topwaters more than other trebled baits

@@_bassadd1ct_ No, it is the design as my rod with other topwaters do not lose fish. That's how I know...then, everytime the fish jumps or turns to the side, it comes off the Vixen. If you look at the design, it is extremely flawed in that. Think about it, when you are pulling the fish, you'd want no give or side play. What you want is vertical, parallel hook hangers. This gives no wiggle room and the weight of the fish gets dragged to the back in one spot, coming in at one angle. That said, swivel hook hangers might give them similar play or wiggle room. If you go with swivel hangers, only one of the hook hangers might have to be swivel and the other to be stationary to hold it in place if the fish moves. Two swivels on two separate hooks might give it too much leverage, spinning every which way is what I am saying. Like in trout fishing, the smaller the split ring, the better bc it gives them no wiggle play or leverage. It's complicated...but understanding this is the highest level. I understand where you get the swivel hangers from, but I think that's not a viable option unless on giant lures.

Been using the P5 Javelin with a Metanium DC which I know will get some people rolling their eyes but boy lemme tell ya, you can send a kicknocker to the moon with that combo.

Put a big pencil popper on i bet you could spool that thang 😹 Metanium plus DC tech is just unfair

A shower blows is going across the lake for sure. Whether it's attached to an entire spool's worth of braid depends on whether or not I'm paying attention lmao. Give it a gentle lob and it still blasts off to that sweet sweet DC music
