With the engine getting knocked out of there fuel tanks getting ripped off, how in the hell did that cab hold up so well..mirrors still on windshield intact driver door open and closed, but everything else was destroyed. The way that engine broke free from the transmission and didn't compromise the cab was some incredible engineering... Mad respect for you guys for being able to get that truck out of there without knocking down the bridge while doing it in the dark

Great recovery! I know it was a mess, but sometimes it’s nice having the cargo blown completely out of the trailer…in my experience it makes it easier for the skid steer to get to it, and different guys can focus on different parts of the recovery all at once. Nice work 👍🏻

I’m guessing those cheese cans were probably aluminum so a magnet wouldn’t have helped much but you might want too look into putting a diesel or gas powered generator on your rotor and getting a electro magnet with a quick coupler on it and the electrical cord I ran a hydraulic crane at a scrap iron processing yard and it was setup so I could switch back and forth from my four prong grapple bucket and my magnet I used the wire connectors they use on welders with a male and female ends so I just had to push them together and twist them a quarter turn too lock them together. it would speed up your clean up work
