This is another fabulous group from the 50's-60's. This was the time of classy romantic heartfelt songs. Sadly they don't make music like this anymore. They had so many great hits such as "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", "Enchanted", "(You've Got) The Magic Touch", "My Prayer", "Twilight Time", "Harbor Lights", "The Great Pretender" etc.

Sweet! When you run out of songs by The Platters to listen to, check out some of these fifties doo wop style ballads -- The Crests "Sixteen Candles", The Dells "Oh What A Night", The Five Satins "In The Still Of The Night", The Penguins "Earth Angel", The Chantels "Maybe", The Skyliners "Since I Don't Have You", The Tune Weavers "Happy, Happy Birthday Baby", Ann Cole "Are You Satisfied", The Mellows "Sweet Lorraine", The Falcons "You're So Fine", The Capris "There's a Moon Out Tonight", ... YMMV.

Just an FYI for anyone in the So. Cal. area. The Platters will be appearing at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, Ca on Friday Nov. 29. You can order tickets online and pick them up at Will Call. You can also call ahead for dinner reservations. I have seen so many great acts there through the years. Small .......I think under 500 capacity and a wonderful experience. I've seen Keb Mo, BB King, Joe Walsh.......etc etc and love love love it. If I were still in Calif I would definitely go see them.

I knew it as one of four songs on an EP (Extended play) record along with @Harbour Lights' Unfortunately I can't remember the names of the other two track but I think they were equally good. I have found a link to Harbour Lights in case you'd like to hear that one too. The lyrics of harbour Lights are soulful and wistful and i remember them fitting my mood just after being dumped by my first girlfriend! kzitem.info/news/bejne/l6N3mGpqq5NkiZw.
