Old VHS video. 1992 in Torquay UK, just breaking the daily routine of eating and sleeping. Why not jump from 150 ft down to the asphalt car parking.
Looking after Bosnian refugees (mothers and children), I convinced the 18 year old to jump with me, both doing it for the first time (her mother, on the video, was a nervous wreck the whole time). We raised quite a bit of money doing this jump, (another of my brilliant ideas, walking into each business and asking them to put down the amount they would pay for this charity, if we jump successfully) from the local community.
But I can honestly say it was so much fun, incredible! The guy in the light blue jacket was a newspaper photographer as this group of refugees became a local news celebrities at the time.
When I was down on the floor, the mother of the other girl shouted at me: "Nela, do you want to do it again? Do you want more?" (hmmm...)
