It's so cute on how Taka pronounces "touring" like "twirling"! I get it. It's not easy to let go of that Japanese go of that Japanese "r" pronunciation. He's still learning! I love ONE OK ROCK!

2015 the One Ok Rock fandom took a downfall :( it used to be one of my fave fandoms. No all fans do is criticize them on their work and choices with John Feldman and no one can say anything about it and they become really rude. I wonder if the band realizes how ungrateful and Ignorant the fans have become.

Taka is the face of the band so of course the interviews base on him, regardless if Ryota spoke more english than Taka. The interviews always give the attention to the singer. Cut him some slack it might not even be his fault.

35xxxv is not fully english. Only the deluxe reissue that came out recently has all of the japanese lyrics it still had translated into english. it's a shame because it just sounds better in japanese imo and they're also HUGE in japan. selling out stadiums. but i guess you just have to change shit for it to appeal to an american audience.
@TinyMatchabeans
8 жыл бұрын
You're really salty towards the American audience. They want to follow their dreams and fans are criticizing them for wanting to follow it. Their music sounds great regardless. Like Taka said, it doesn't matter about who the musician is or what genre, sound, lyrics or language his music is, or who he's playing for. What matters is that he is a musician.
@MrKillerswamp
8 жыл бұрын
DarthMonini You're missing my point. I'm not criticizing them and most of my favorite bands come from america. The music is great. I just personally think it sounds better in japanese. And it's pretty obvious that Zankyou and Jinsei are better albums than 35. It's pretty obvious that they went for a more mainstream american sound. But that's fine. I still like the new album. They are even better live. But i just think that they went downhill a bit.
@chichibi0

+Giruga x Hakusho Can't agree more. Warner Bros actually wants them to sing in english for an impact in the USA. Sadly this changing it's something that happens everytime, when original and talented artists sign up with big labels they Always homologate them, but i never thought to see this with one ok rock too. In 35 just a few songs are theirs that's also why it is so different compared to the others. To gain recognition in America they are losing their stamp. I hope they will have enough power in the future to bring it back completely, I have big hopes in them.
@MrKillerswamp

Taka. Don't get me wrong when I'm saying this (you know I look up to you so much), but, ehem, do you notice you keep saying "my album", "my music", "my something" in a lot English interviews? I know you don't mean anything selfish and it could be due to the language barrier, but that doesn't sound appropriate when you are in a band. Just be more careful to every word you say in the media ;) It's just a trivial stuff, but still. PS: Love you guys OOR!!! All the best to your tour in Europe!

Gabby Yes :) I know that he doesn't have selfish intention and that it could be because he's not used to expressing in another language. I'm not criticizing him at all. I'm pointing it out just for his own sake. I can tell you that I am not the only person, but a lot of (very good) fans also notice that. Yes we can go easy on it because we understand him. But it could backfire in the long run when they get bigger and more fans get to know the band through the interviews. Of course this post means nothing if he never reads this, lol.
@sunnyx8816

+Yutella same I noticed that too. I know he don't meant it selfish but I think he should realize it and try to change that x3 but what I'm wondering is why Toru and Tomoya are never with them when they get interviewed by american interviewer?
