I encourage anyone who begins watching this video to continue through to the end. Nathaniel has simplified my understanding of how bass, drum, and rhythm work in a way I never considered. This in turn has helped me so much in composing music. Thanks ✌️

WOW! Jason, this lesson is just awesome --- it's like 10 lessons in one video! This brings together a lot of ideas as a complete blending of playing techniques, that would otherwise just be separate pieces. It's always good to see the bigger picture, and how those pieces can be used together. I'm still a novice player, but you are pulling together exactly all the topics that I'm ready for.😎👍👍

Of course. This already took about 50 minutes to shoot Bruce. With just one rhythm pattern. But the same process applies for any patten over any subdivision. A very common thing which I practice in most of my lessons with students

Love the way Jason says the 32 min video took only 50 minutes to do…..it’s taken me a week to half master just the both hands bit at 17.52 and still struggling. I think he has forgotten how difficult it all is for late starters!!! Brilliant tutoring.

Fantastic approach and value for the patreons !! I thought Natural Em scale just 2b and the Harmonic Em had this plus 6b and 7b? You talk of E Natural minor here at beginning of video having the three flats…..as per your other video saying the Harmonic Minor is the more used scale.

thank you Jason you are the master of rhythm. i applied this to a piece im learning with difficult RH chords & it brought Joy to my practice. Rhythm is essential yet it doesnt get much emphasis in Jazz or classical & this is probably why these forms arent so popular?
