Good effort on pronouncing the Finnish last name Kallio :D - for future reference, it is Kal - lee - oh ;). Beautiful patterns, this is an older video but I really needed some inspiration as I am working through my sizeable stash.

Hi there, I'm new to your channel and a fellow Canadian ;) Great idea about using crochet bobbles, I find they look more bobbley lol. Thanks for pulling shawl examples ... I've been struggling finding a shawl pattern to make my mom who is in long term care and is cold even in the summer, poor thing. I've ripped out 3 that I started that just weren't quite right. I need to work with a worsted and find something that will still look good with a lacey style. I figure this way it will have weight for her but not be quite as hot. Great video ;) Sunshine

I've made a couple Summer Secret Crop tanks and am amazed that the pattern is free! She includes so much information, different ways to set the straps, etc. I'm going to be starting on a couple more Jessie Maed Design tops - the Ripple tank for my daughter and the So Summer tee for myself. Question - If my special skein has a twin and I use them both in a top, does that still count for the KAL? I'm thinking so but figured I'd check. 😊
@birchandlily

Ohh that’s so good to know! I’ll have to cast one on when I catch up with all these test knits 🤣 Lololol a twin, I love it 🤣 Totally fine! They’re both equally as special haha

The Reyna shawl is fab and it's free! I knit one for a friend last year. Also, I knit a Summer Secret Crop in fingering weight last year and I found that it has stretched out in odd places since it's such a loose gauge in such a fine yarn. I wouldn't make it again in fingering tbh (even though I 💜Jessie Mae so much), maybe in DK which would add a bit more structure
@birchandlily
Жыл бұрын
Dang, that's too bad. Have you tried re-blocking it?
@SylviaTricote
Жыл бұрын
@@birchandlily Yep, I've washed it and laid it out a few times, it always stretches back out pretty quickly. Maybe a non-superwash would hold its shape better though
