@@martinfrost5977 Grand Design has the best reputation. They do a week of owners appreciation camping on premesis and they do upgrades and repairs for those owners. Really good customer service. I'd say from what I've seen at the RV shows, they build about the same quality...maybe slightly better. Also VanLeigh RV which is kinda new. They started as a branch of Tiffin who makes high end drivables and are well knows as one of the best companies.

I've been working/hoping/waiting for the big positive turn around in my life. Hasn't happened yet. Nothing like going to school, learning new skills to try to increase income, working 60 - 70hr weeks then something happens which takes it all away and destroys it. A few years back I made the decision to quit my job as an auto mechanic & go to aviation school to be an airline pilot. Moved 1200 miles away, lived in the back of my Blazer in Wal-Mart parking lots so I could live within my means being aviation school is expensive. I went from having no flying experience (besides skydiving) to a commercial licensed + instrument rated pilot in only 3.5 months. The longest part was waiting for FAA examiners to do my checkrides. Two weeks before I passed the practical exam for my commercial pilot's license the federal government implemented the 1500hr law for First Officer airline pilots. (First Officer is the co-pilot.) With one swipe of the pen totally destroyed everything I'd worked so hard for. That 1500hr law didn't exist when I enrolled in aviation school. After that I began working at an automotive restoration shop. I'm a skilled mechanic and TIG welder. Unfortunately the shop owner developed a brain tumor then began drinking which ultimately caused him ruin the business. But that's a long story for another time. I shared a small apartment w/roommates to try to save the $25,000 I needed for the three flight instructor licenses so I could build the 1500 flight hours in pursuit of my aviation career. One of my roommates was moving back to his home country of UAE and offered me his mint condition 2003 CBR600RR for $800. Only had 4700 miles on it. My intention was to buy it then resell to make a little money on. I had a rough & high mileage cheap Suzuki SV650 so I had a few years of riding experience & I'd always wanted a bike like a 600rr. _Never_ owned anything cool like that in my life, so I sold my SV650, bought the 600rr, and figured I'd keep it for a few months at least. One night 10pm I'm riding home on the interstate after work and a powerline had fallen across the highway. I had a split second to slow from 65mph to 60mph before it clotheslined me by the neck off the bike. I was wearing full gear + helmet but dislocated & broke both my shoulders, collar bone, and lost half my right kneecap after the seam in leathers split & the side of my knee bone was ground down by the pavement. Once again lost everything I'd ever worked for. People think I must have gotten some big settlement from the accident, but I didn't. I did speak with the power company & a lawyer, but I had no way of proving who actually owned the cable. I know it was a powerline because it was an un-insulated bare cable & saw it was still connected at one end. The power company said the line wasn't theirs & that I'd have been electrocuted if it was. They said I "must have just pissed someone off so they strung a cable across the highway to get back at me." Except this was a six lane interstate, not some residential side street, I didn't have any kind of routine commute schedule for someone to predict the exact second when I'd be riding through there, and I didn't piss anyone off. Couple years later I'm just barely getting back on my feet, landed an apprenticeship at the local electricians union......and of course that gets destroyed too. COVID happened and the union cancelled all the new apprenticeships before we even started. I didn't qualify for any "COVID stimulus" as I'm a certified master watchmaker & run a small business from home restoring antique pocket watches. My 1099 income from that put me outside of the stimulus qualifications even though I don't earn much money from my watch business at all. Plus 1099's don't get unemployment of course. That $600/wk unemployment would've been great. I'd have saved every penny of it for my flight instructor ratings and actually got to fly for a living. Now I'm a commercial + instrument rated pilot, skilled auto mechanic, skilled at TIG welding & metal fab, and a certified master watchmaker who is turning in applications to McDonald's. I know it says on TV that all these companies are desperate for workers & they're paying $20/hr or something, but it's not like that at all where I live. People here are fighting over fast food & retail jobs. Anyway I started a KZitem channel recently & am working on creating content for it. It's going to be focused mainly on war history, primarily WW2 history but I'll cover other wars as well. Also I'd like to do videos on various firearms used in WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, etc. I have access to 150 acres of land & I've setup four target ranges. One long range out to 600yds, two "run & gun" ranges one small, one large, and lastly I setup a close quarters range. I'd like to make videos where I run two different WW2 rifles through my various target ranges then compare & contrast pros/cons between them. I'm hoping I won't yet again put in all this hard work just for something out of my control to come along & destroy it.
