Not much to complain about here. An excellent phone offering solid value. Competes well with lower-priced models like the Pixel 7 and exceptionally well with more expensive phones like the S23+. Hard to come up with a better alternative at £799 (16GB/256GB) for the OP11. The Pixel 7P is £150 more for 256GB and has less RAM.

10 Day Review: First time with a OnePlus phone. Decided to take the plunge as I like tech and wanted to put the new Snapdragon through it's paces. I was slightly concerned about general grumblings about the quality of OxygenOS (Color?!) but felt I could get to grips with any idiosyncrasies. I am happy with the build quality and very impressed with the display. Small note, the wallpaper choices are limited and uninspiring to show off what the screen can do. For 800+ euro I feel OnePlus didn't make a great effort. Ok, I could download my own etc but to be honest I don't have the time or inclination. Sound is also very good without any great bass but that's ok. Fast charging is great. The curved screen edges are nice visually but I personally find a regular screen with more defined, sharper edges more precise to use at the extremities. Disappointed with OnePlus that they didn't provide at least the initial European shipments with a basic case to get customers up and running, especially as there were few 3rd party cases with reviews online. And the OnePlus store helpfully was out of stock for cases! Got one from Amazon and it was no use as it interfered with calls as the proximity sensor was partially covered, so that was a pain given my green version of the phone is quite slippery so I'd recommend a case. A delayed, frustrating start. Performance / speed is very good but if you're coming from something reasonably decent you may not notice any enormous difference in day to day use. However, it doesn't blow me away - e.g. desktop screen transitions are fine and actually less snappy than my previous Xiaomi. Pinch to zoom for downloaded PDFs also take a moment to re-focus which is surprising. Not big issues and I'm confident the hardware will be up to the job in the longer term with os updates. The setup was not a great experience with a number of unexpected glitches e.g. KZitem out of the box took quite a bit of time to get right and required an reinstall without updates to get it behaving correctly. The Oxygen OS itself I don't find behaves well. For example, I have folders set up on my phone desktop containing shortcut links to pages for news sites. When I open a link in the folder to one of the pages and back arrow to return to the folder I'm actually returned to the main screen rather than the launch folder. So I then need to reopen my news folder over and over. This isn't normal navigation behavior on any os I've used be it windows, Android or iOS. Another more serious issue is the alarms are totally unreliable. Some days they work. Some days they don't. I've tried the usual in terms of turning them on and off and deleting and resetting but it's still happening. To be honest, these are basic hygiene issues for an operating system and there seems to have been some shortcuts taken on testing. I'm guessing priority was given to getting the device out quickly in the Snapdragon 2 race. Overall, I'm happy enough with the phone but not sure I'd go with OnePlus again. Attention to detail should be far better at this price point.

The OS is still better than any alternative though. My friend bought Pixel 7 Pro and been having OS glitches all the time, which is similar to my experience with pixel few years back. I got Samsung S22 ultra last year and sold it after 3 months of use and bought a OnePlus 9pro at discount. The delay and the battery management on Samsung is unbearable, not sure how so many people can recommend it. 9pro was 1/3 of it's price and still out-perform it. Now I have the option to trade the 9pro for the 11 but since it's been working so well, I don't know if I should.

Its the lack of proper dual sim support when using e-sim and nano-sims combined with the thousand other downgrades or bizarre hurdles that you don't find with OOS or lineageOS that kill me. The hardware has been fine, the lack of desirable ROMS and the e-fuse situation just pour salt in the wound.

Google support doesn't seem to be helpful in any ways and I feel going in circles with them every time I request to have the Pixel 7 Pro fixed. I have the OnePlus 11. Fast, but not the fastest out there. Decent cameras but certainly not the best, Samsung and iPhone top models have the best video camera. It also stutters when zooming in and out, which you don't have at all with the iPhone and very minimally with the Samsung. The OnePlus 11 has a very nice screen and fits well in the hand, the disadvantage is that the brightness is not high enough when it is sunny. If you live in a country where there is a lot of sun, I do not recommend this. I will normally replace the OnePlus 11 with the S24 Ultra.

@@chiranjibisahoo5408 I used OnePlus form the 1, 2 3, 5T & 7Pro but the 9 & 10 series really started to kill it for me. Even on OP7P OOS was starting to go off the rails. It is still my backup but the last update to that phone lost functionality and generally made it worse than before the update. Losing alert sliders, dual sim and lobotomizing OOS took away most of the appeal for me. It only looks good when compared to the Samsung I'm using now... Wireless charging isnt quite a gimmick but it certainly isn't the last word people pretend that it is. It works well for some people but I'd still rather have wired fast charging. As far as the new OOS goes if it is anytime like the last OP7P update or whats running on the 10 series phones then it still goes in the negative column. Unless it comes with earbuds or other gifts, as much as I don't like the Pixel 7s, it will be difficult for the OnePlus 11 on the Western market, especially since in addition this year the Galaxy S23s have the 8 Gen 2 everywhere, and thanks to Samsung's promotions and offers the S23s actually come back to customers at $200-$300 cheaper than their official price, without even mentioning the offers of the communication houses (AT&T, Verizon, Orange...) in collaboration with Samsung. I really appreciate a nice display and this is pretty much the best you can get today, 525ppi, LTPO3, 10 bit colour depth, but man, the selfie camera is really holding it back.

8T was a terrible phone. It lasted me a year before I switched to Pixel. The OnePlus 5 lasted me 3 years though. I'm tempted by the OnePlus 11 though!

@@djwarren5081 I traded in my Pixel 7 Pro for the OP11 and do not regret it one single bit. I am not too fussed about cameras (although OP cameras are very good). I never use wireless charging and in 15 years never dropped my phone in water, so the IP rating does not bother me. I have got to 1 day and a few hours on battery with 7/8 hours on screen time. That is insane! I think OP is well and truly back. It feels like I have upgraded from my OP 5. Feels the same but much more powerful and user friendly.

They do in house tests. Peak brightness of 1300 nits is what OnePlus claims, but it only applies when a very small portion of the screen is bright. If the majority of the screen has a light background the screen doesn't even come close to 1300 nits. Do your god-damn research before you accuse someone else of not doing it.
