I have a Snugpak Cocoon and it's a game changer! I'd recommend you replace your sleeping bag and underquilt with a cocoon to make a simpler setup and one you won't get twisted and tangled up in a doss bag. This hammock sock maybe the ideal outer cover for the cocoon instead of a tarp

I have looked into the cocoon, however have heard that for tall people it's difficult to get a diagonal lay?

Have one as well. I totally agree, very nice product. Agree also about the poncho or even a slimline dedicated tarp .

Water will enter "the sock" through the zipper, the mesh window and down the tree huggers. Since it's not water proof you still want to use a tarp which then makes the sock totally useless. The sock will not protect your backpack etc either.

After using this windsock in the rain, I can confirm that it is not waterproof lol. Most of the water comes through the ends, via the tree straps.

It's definitely not waterproof. Just an FYI to anyone looking to buy it. Make sure to grab a Tarp aswell. Also you want your hammock floating inside, not resting on it. Good video otherwise

Good to know!! Thanks. Yeah I figured having the hammock floating inside would be better but I had just got the perfect hang and didn't wanna move it 🤣

Hi mate, been hammocking for some time now so am familiar with Dutchware. The hammock I'm using is a custom ripstop 11ft made by my good friends misses who's a seamstress. I absolutely love it! Appreciate the subscription buddy, I'll be trying to get more reviews and wild camping videos done soon.
