You are an excellent teacher! You make it so easy to understand, and you are careful to keep your work in the view of the camera so we can clearly see what you're doing. Thank you for all of your videos!!!

Thank you! Your advice in this video solved my issue with the last stitch on a double-stitch doing that downward arch when you have to open the ring thread open more. I kept having issues with that making my work uneven.

Thank you so much for that little extra tidbit about not having to use the shuttle thread, just because it was the closest thread. I have had a problem with that before, and never knew there was an answer to that!

Your instructions were delivered in a manor that was very precise and understandable. The issue I have with the video is that the lighting is poor. Giving difficulty to see.

Hi ghostsoup. I am so glad your having fun. I will be uploading a needle tutorial for the onion ring by Monday also. How does that make your day. LOL. Anyway now that you have shuttles your going to be like the 98% of tatters. Most of us can needle tat but once you see the tatted piece in needle and then in shuttle your going to love the results a shuttle gives you. I only use my needles to work out a new technique or for a pattern that calls for alot of tight spaces work area. I however use my needles like the were shuttles. In the future that is one of the videos that will be available. So don't get rid of the needles once you learn the shuttle. They come in handy for so many things. Happy Tatting

Hi Carol, Yes Handy Hands has got Georgia's book. I saw the preview and it is awesome. Your going to love it. I fully understand about the access situation. I have several viewers that have that problem. However if you ever need to look up something on how to do this or that if you don't understand how Georgia has diagrammed it or whatever make notes on it. If I don't have a video up for that I will add it to the list of videos yet to be done and make one and if your subscribed to the channel you tube will notify of the new update. Happy Tatting

Hi! I love your videos, I'm just starting shuttle tatting, been needle tatting for 2months now and just had to try the shuttle, slowly getting it,bits at a time. If you were a new tatter and didn't always have access to the internet,is there any one book you personally would use to help you learn,there are quite a few and I'd like your opinion

Hi Carol, Handy Hands has a wonderful book out by Georgia Seitz. the lady who sponsors the online class. Also several other books. They are all wonderful books to have around. As you progress Tatting with visual patterns by Mary Koniors is a great book. Handy Hands has a big supply of books from several designers that you will see around on facebook and blogger. here is the link to the site Handy Hands. Also check out the store she has just about everything you need and the shipping cost is very minimal in comparison to other sites. www.hhtatting.com/ Hope that helps you

Sorry to bother you again, I'm not at home right now and don't have access to my catalog so I looked online and what came up is was a DVD, I actually bought a book that came with a DVD but can't find a place to view it, is what you saw an actual book?
@BeginningTattingVideoSeries
9 жыл бұрын
It's really no bother Carol. Georgia's is a DVD and there is also one that is a book and DVD By Jeanette Baker. The one by Jeanette teaches the basics of tatting and that is about it. From my understanding Georgia's is a bit more in depth. I do not think that one comes with a book. Also on interweave press you can download the video Georgia has for Shuttle tatting let me get that link as well for you. www.interweavestore.com/shuttle-tatting-grouped. It is a bit cheaper thru there and also I believe it is downloadable so you can save it to your hard drive to view late. Not positive but have heard rumors of that being the case. Hope that helps you.

If ur going to make a video to teach someone something please first start with how to use the tool.. (shuttle) i keep watching but still can't figure out how you are making the knots...it appears that u are just poking the shuttle between ur fingers...HELP! THIS IS NOT A VIDEO FOR BEGINNERS...THIS IS A VIDEO FOR SOMEONE WHO ALREADY KNOWS HOW TO USE THE TATTING SHUTTLE!

+kelly perrone Hi Kelly sorry you missed the other videos I have out. This is beginning tutorials as well as some advanced techniques. Here is the links to the videos you need to learn how to use the shuttle. If you are subscribed to the channel you can view all the videos on the channel that teaches both shuttle and needle tatting as well as other information you will find handy for your adventure in tatting. kzitem.info/news/bejne/tp2l4HqIpn58hX4 (this teaches you how to wind the shuttle) kzitem.info/news/bejne/kY2Ap2xmpWN9dKQ ( this teaches you how to do the double stitch using a shuttle) kzitem.info/news/bejne/rW6Qyo1jkaN1Y20 (this one teaches you how to make rings and picots and how to read patterns) I hope these links help you learn more. The one video you are currently watching is considered an intermediate technique. Once you get the hang of using the shuttle and reading patterns the other videos in the series will teach different techniques you will use even the most uncommon ones out there. Happy Tatting
