Never ceases to amaze my the time, effort and money audiophiles put into assembling state of the art hardware... and then park it in a room with acoustics like a train station.

That's what I thought too 😂😂😂😂 looks like a ridiculous place to install those magnificent speakers! Almost as bad as putting them in a bathroom😂 Trip down the memory lane: I remember an old, cheap 2.1 desktop sound system installed in our storage (old junk) room. Small, odd shaped room, but because of all the junk there and a very comfy chair right in the middle, the acoustics were unbelievably good 😂😂 I must have clocked over a thousand hours on that 2.1 el-cheapo system in a year and half. Just because the system matched the room. Everything sounded like it was happening here and now. Not a big soundstage, but fantastic transients and decay. Not a lot of reverb like most small rooms. The sound was, how should I describe it, intimate. Probably sounded like modern closed back headphones. I've been listening to so many prettier, shinier, way more expensive equipment in a variety of installations ranging from recording studios to live events to art-film movie theaters. But I miss that silly small desktop speaker system in that smelly old listening room 😎

So called “ Audiophiles “ 👀 come in all different ( kinds ..! ) the really super rich ones, who have a $5 million house, with a $2 million stereo set up….! And there’s not even so much as ( God forbid ) a gum wrapper on the floor , or a speck of dust anywhere…! Thin you have guys like this… More my caliber…👍🏻 Now where did I put those needle nose pliers???? Maybe they’re under here …? “ ALTEC “ 🎶👍🏻🎶👍🏻
