Hi, you can use supported streaming services without the app on your iPhone. Please see the supported streaming services for the latest models on www.eu.onkyo.com . Selected streaming services/features like Spotify Connect require an iPhone to allow streaming from your smart device to your AVR.

Hi and yes, you could either select NET mode for Zone 2 and Spotify as music streaming service. And yes, you can also hookup your Amazon Echo (either using line / cabled connection or Bluetooth) to output audio via Zone 2 - being able to control the played Spotify songs with your voice via Alexa (nice use case, anyway :)

Hi and thanks for asking: with any product update, selected features of the app may be modified or changed, e.g. to keep compatibility with a broad range of compatible Onkyo product and to improve the overall functionality of the app. It is advised to use the latest version of the app, which is available via the AppStore (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Previous versions are always replaced with the new versions and are no longer available.

+Abraham Mart Hi and apologies for late reply. In this case (accessing iTunes or Apple Music), please try using Bluetooth Audio streaming instead of Wifi. If you encounter any difficulties pairing your iPhone with your Onkyo AVR, please do not hesitate to contact the colleages at customer care (contact form and phone numbers via www.eu.onkyo.com). Thank you!

What type of cable I must use if I want to connect ipad/android phone to onkyo tx-nr 626 using cable? Thanks.
@OnkyoEU
10 жыл бұрын
Hi, the example provided (the video), there is no cable required - a wireless/wifi connection to the local home network is used to control the AVR from the Onkyo Remote app. You can use a USB cable to connect your phone/tablet to the AVR, but there will be no possibility to use the Onkyo Remote App in this case (you have to configure your phone/tablet as USB mass storage device - and you can only playback music files from the phone/tablet, but not controlling the AVR as shown in the video).

Hi, please search for "onkyo remote 3" in the App Store to find it (this is the latest version launched only recently). Also please make sure that you are searching for "iPhone" not "iPad" apps (the Onkyo Remote App is optimized for iPhones). Thanks for asking!

I have the UBT-1 and it pairs just find and it will play music. But when I downloaded the Onkyo 2 App with my iphone 5 using 7.0.4 software to use it as a remote the App can't even find my reciever. It stays in DEMO mode. I have called Onkyo for support 3 times and left messages. I even used the auto call back feature with no return phone call though. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONKYO AGAIN!! You think after spending $1200 bucks they would 1)have a good App and 2) return your phone calls. I'm in the process of packing this thing up and taking it back to ABC warehouse.

Hi Mike, our apologies that you could not reach the colleagues at the hotline. To avoid a possible misunderstanding: In order to use the Onkyo Remote 2 App, you need a working network connection to the AVR - it will not work just using Bluetooth. This means your iPhone will need a wireless WiFi connection to your WiFi router, which will then talk to the AVR via either wired network (rear ethernet port) or wireless network (built-in WiFi). If your AVR is currrently using WiFi, could you connect it to your network by cable, just for testing purposes? Will the app find the AVR? Doyou use a firewall with your WiFi router?

Hi, using the App with TX-NR515, you can do basically the same as TX-NR616. Nethertheless some features like Zone3 support are only available on TX-NR616. Please use the comparison tool on eu.onkyo.com to find out about the differences between the two models. Thank you!

I have this model, and when I try to plug in my Google Nexus 7 Tablet or my ZTE AWE Cell Phone into the system, nothing happens. I'm just trying to listen to music, and I have no idea how to get to that Bluetooth menu. Nothing is popping up on my TV.

Hi, in order to use Bluetooth for wireless audio transmission, you will need to "pair" the AVR with your Tablet/Cel Phone first. Could you follow the steps in the manual on page En-31/En-32 please - the manual explains step by step how to pair the devices and provides additional information to each step in case something does not work as expected. In case you experience any difficulties, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

Are both devices connected to the same network? Also I would suggest connecting your 626 using wifi - this way you make sure both devices are in the same subnet.
