I looked at his photo today and thought that this man was with God right now. It made me smile and of course a tear or two escaped. But knowing he's with God just makes it a little easier to accept a good man is gone. Jesus died so humans like him could come home to our Father. He so deserves His grace. Dan's journey has a personal resonance for me. I found his channel some weeks before he passed away, as my husband was going through the same phase in his cancer, he passed 3 weeks before Dan. Also at home, peacefully and surrounded by our family. My Jonathan, a quiet, sensitive Englishman bore up in an exemplary manner too, appreciating every day and not thinking about leaving but, at the same time, softening up to the end with dignity as it got nearer. Dan's capacity to stay present along the way and conveying his feelings and thoughts with such honesty and depth really helps me process and make sense of my husband's journey too, though he had much fewer words! I'm filled with admiration and a sense of privilege to have witnessed such intimate and personal moments of these two men, one I never met and the other who was/is the love if my life. We're blessed to have known Dan. 🙏

I think some of your questions to Dr. Dan were inappropriate!! Asking him what he’s going to do??? What do you mean , you’ve never been around a person with cancer or a very sick person they can’t just do things. They become very weak. They become very sick. They can’t walk. They can’t do anything anymore. What do you mean like spend your last days there are no spending your last days, you’re just going through the motion of trying to stay alive, you don’t just pop up and do something …people with cancer become very weak and when it goes to their brain, it messes up how they walk. They can’t walk anymore so that was pretty inappropriate. And I know because I had to do everything for my sister when she was dying of lung cancer and she was only 56 so instead of saying, what are you gonna do you should’ve said like I’m so proud of how much you’ve done and like who will be there with you when things start to go down, not what do you wanna do? Sorry, that was no good. Oh another inappropriate question don’t you wish you had a significant other….come on this man was dying …..my sister was single when she died . You’re not a good interviewer 👎
