Totally agree with you.Speed work must be put into your training also. It’s always a balance between easy and hard to avoid injuries. I have always done both as well.

Hi! Thanks for the insight. Liked and subsribed! Got a question for me. Should a beginner stick with pure MAF training (maybe for 3 - 6 months) then transition to 80/20 OR immediately go with 80/20 ? So far I'm really enjoying running with MAF. But I'm concerned on running junk miles

I would say do 3 months of strictly MAF so you can build your aerobic base. I totally understand the idea of not wanting to run junk miles, but at least 3 months of aerobic base will be beneficial!
