It’s an Igbo folklore song dating back in the 80s. When you do the dance nobody should mimick or copy your dance moves bcuz the song expects you to dance very funny and awkwardly so it’s assumed when anybody mimick your dance he/ she is making fun of you so you chase him/her to make him/her stop . it’s assumed that person is making fun of your funny /awkward dance moves. 😂😂

Mike Ejeagha is trending posthumously because of such a creatively composed storytelling song that captures the contemporary political climate in Nigeria where the political elites who are our leaders, as small as they are ("the cunning tortoise"), deceive the large number of gullible masses ("the elephant") in every election year and cycle. This kind of rip-off must be avenged in the coming #End of Bad Governance Protest. What the sagacious and inimitable Chinua Achebe achieved in his novels with an uncanny sense of prophesying or depicting Nigeria's political situation, Ejeagha was also blessed with the wisdom to pass his political commentaries in a storytelling music genre or folklore. May God bless his departed legendary soul. Therefore, as you dance to the beat and rhythm of Gwọ gwọ gwọọ ngwọ, please understand the meaning and moral behind the story song. God bless 🙏🏽.

The story is an ancient Igbo folklore depicted in music by the creative master of the ancient African sounds, Honourable GentleMan Mike Ejiagha. The music rhetorics presented how extremely deceptive and very small Mbe (ie Tortoise) which is the small political class, deceived Enyi (ie Elephant) which is the large masses. In this story, the great king placed a big bounty on Enyi, he pledged that anybody who brings Enyi alive to him in his palace will marry his daughter. Because after turning down countless suitors, that was the Princess only demand that whoever wishes to marry her must bring the Elephant alive to her, so that she will always climb the Elephant and walk round the town and people will known that she is the daughter of the great king. Mbe therefore deceived Enyi by telling him that the king is throwing a big party, that Enyi has been endorsed as the chairman of the great king's party because he is the biggest in the animal kingdom. After much scrutiny, Enyi became convinced & was very happy that he will be the chairman of the occasion, not knowing that Mbe has sold him to the king. While they headed to the king's palace, Mbe stated singing. Nnam Eze, akpota mu Enyi (meaning: my father great king, I have brought the Elephant). Enyi queried: Mbe isi na ikpota onye? ( Mean: Tortoise did you say that you have brought who?) Mbe answered: Asiri m Ani ya chebe Enyi dube Enyi, odi Kam si na akpota mu Enyi, obu onye ga abu isi oche, obu Enyi ga abu isi oche. Enyi na aga, na anyi so gi na azu. Chorus: Gwo gwo gwooo ngwo! ( Meaning: I told the Land, the gods and the ancestors to protect and guide the Elephant and it looks as if I said that I have brought the Elephant. Who will be the chairman of the occasion? Elephant will be the chairman of the occasion. Elephant be moving forward, we're following behind you. Chorus: Gwo gwo gwooo ngwo.... That was how they sold the chairman 🤣🤣🤣
