lol you're getting better with preheating cast iron, but you preheated it too much! you need to control the cast iron temp and put the food in at a safe temp to avoid splatter and burning of your marinade

Thank you! The Ooni is great for the money. It is a lot of fun to play with.. It really does cook a great pizza at high temp as advertised. But with the size it does have a lot of limits... although it does get very hot, it doesnt hold temp for long periods.
