The Focal you have there are the “OG”, just the Professional SKU of the Clear, the only difference between this and the silver Clear originals being the color of the headphones and ear pads and the coiled cable being included and the fact that they include spare pads whilst the non-professional SKU does not have coiled cable or extra pair of pads - the Clear MG have a different pattern on the ear cups and the box says “Clear MG” or “Clear MG Professional” depending on the SKU. The non-professional SKUs don’t have a different tuning than their professional variants, just the different color and additional accessories being included.

yeah in any case the Clear OGs I heard were also quite neutral and detailed sounding much like these ones.

You can not compare Hifiman to Grado lol

Hate hifiman… People should stop giving their money to them. Yes, they might sound amazing, but there headphones that sound amazing and have premium quality and materials . these guys af hifiman just want to make every penny as posible. “Sound is what matter” at this prices is BS. They can give us that same sound with premium materials , yes they would make less earnings. But cmon! They look and feel cheaper than the sennheisers

Depends on what you value. For my friend he values pure sound quality above all else. So he likes Hifimans. For me I think Mezes are overpriced they might look amazing and are well built but their sound quality is not up to par with what they charge. So it's all a matter of what you value. Sound quality or appearance/build

@@aznsensation44 that’s my point. Hifiman technology and materials doesn’t worth over 1k. I mean myvlointvis they can make use quality materials and lose pretty much nothing. Instead of have $950 usd of revenue per headphone they could use 100 bucks pero headphone (and that’s a lot) and they would make great profit still. Neumann makes great headphones, superb quality and presentation. They might not sound as great as the Arya but with good EQ they’ll sound amazing. I was close to buy into the hype, but their QC is scary, 2 in 10 headphones broke or fail in matter of weeks or months .

Denon d9200 vs focal clear I know its open vs closed but i want to know your opinion on this comparison What will you choose?
@aznsensation44

Focal clear doesn't have much soundstage so it's a close enough comparison. I would say the mids on the Clear are better but I would take the bass on the D9200s. highs are similar on both.

@@aznsensation44is focal more detailed and dynamic? And the depth and layering of soundstage which got more depth and layering?
@aznsensation44

Denon has the more dynamic tuning it's got more bass and highs it's a more fun signature while the Clears have a more reference neutral signature. Soundstage is pretty similar for both neither have that much soundstage. Both are very detailed.

@@aznsensation44whats your friend’s (on the end of this video) fav headphones?

Out of these it's the Arya Stealth by a good margin. Overall he also likes the HE1000 V2 and the Sennheiser HD800. He prefers a neutral sound signature with lots of detail and soundstage

Thank you for the time to make this comparison, and for the audio samples. I was considering new headphones as I find my Sennheiser HD660s a bit boring and was debating the new Focal Hadenys or Meze 109 Pro, I listen to music 85% stationary while working. But the detail and dynamics of focal are super impactful, heard the new ones are way more comfortable as they weight 150 grams or so less.

Any of the headphones in this video would be an upgrade over the HD660s for dynamics and detail

@@aznsensation44 since comfort is important almost as important as sound to me, maybe going the Dan Clark route would be better. Since the Aryas are bulky, heavy and cheap built.

Yes in general the two brands that make the most comfortable headphones are Dan Clark and Beyerdynamic. But the Dan Clark Aeon 2s are much better balanced and less specialized than the T1s are
