I’ve had fibroids for nearly 20 years I believe with little or no symptoms in the early years. Thankfully it didn’t affect my ability to conceive both children in-fact I only knew about them during my first pregnancy ultrasound. In recent years however my monthly cycle became extremely heavy seriously affecting the quality of my life. I tried so many natural methods paid for therapies that promised to get rid of the fibroids. Nothing I did seemed to improve the heavy bleeding although the fibroids didn’t grow much. I strongly believe that my healthy lifestyle greatly contributed to slowing the progression of this disease because for one I was no longer fatigued and the abdominal cramping I experienced improved with juicing. I have always been anaemic due to being a thalassaemia carrier (another thing I never knew I had until pregnancy screening) A few years ago due to constant fatigue I saw the doctors and they were concerned about my low HB (haemoglobin). It was at this point that I took on juicing very seriously incorporating beetroot juice to my weekly regimen. Fatigue improved but my HB was persistently below 10. To cut a long story short I decided that since I was done with having children the best decision for me was to undergo a hysterectomy. This is not a decision we took lightly but I chose this option because menopause could be 10years away and I wasn’t prepared to keep haemorrhaging for that long. I made this decision after trying so many natural remedies including fasting. I have documented my experience in a video on YT for anyone else who might be walking in a similar path and needs some clarity. My prayer is that my experience creates more awareness for women like myself. And if you have a daughter today like never before it is so important to ensure their nutrition is free from foods that can cause inflammation early because today more and more girls are SILENTLY suffering from disease of the reproductive system. If you’ve been able to read up to this point kindly join me thank God for a successful surgery and recovery. #fibroids #endometriosis #thalassaemia #hysterectomy #adenomysis #femalereproduction #cramps #heavybleeding

Had my full hysterectomy 1/26/24. It started laproscopic and turned into abdominal up & down cut. I was in the hospital for 5days and left with a catheter. This has been miserable for me so far. I'm so glad you had a better time. Thanks for the video.

@chocqueen not sure. My dr wasn't good at answering questions after the surgery. I guess it was the size. My uterus stretched from below my c section line to just under my ribcage. My Fibroids were so large I looked pregnant. I did 1st video of my surgery. More to come

Amen I agree with you on telling less people as possible.. I spent 3 days recovering at my youngest daughter house but I noticed that every time I said something hurts, she would quickly say go to the hospital 😞I had to insure her that I’m very in tune with my body and if I felt like something is wrong I will definitely go to the emergency room.

Thank you so much for sharing. Good to see a uk based experience, because it seems quite different to the US. Im due laparoscopic hysterectomy 25/4/24 in the Uk. I would have had to wait over a year for the nhs surgery, so ive decided to pay privately. I realy can't cope with the anxiety of constant bleeding. The aneamia ive had for years is debilitating. I'm very nervous but hoping to get my life back. You are looking so wonderful, it give me hope. Xxx

@@vanessajeter7246 hi Vanessa thank you for watching if you’ve had endometriosis type of pain it feels like that but perhaps more sharp. To be honest you shouldn’t feel that pain if the doctors prescribed the right painkillers and not just paracetamol and ibuprofen after a major surgery like that. Thankfully it got better.
