Fun fact with game development. The 360 was such an easy console to develop games for. The developers would develope games for the 360 first, and then work on porting the game to other platforms. Skyrim for the PS3 almost didn't happen because of how much they struggled to get the game running on it. I think it wa an issue with the Ram or something. PS3 was technologicaly superior. But the hardware was developed in such a way that lots of developers struggled to adapt to it. That's why you would see PS3 and Xbox 360 games look about the same. In fact, a lot of 360 versions of games looked better then the PS3, PC, and most definately the Wii. Because the games were developed around the 360 first, meaning the developers were using the hardware better. There was also an issue with PC's back around Past - 2008 and really only stopped being such a big issue around 2009. The PC was often seen as the worser of the platforms, less users, and more issues to deal with. With a PC. You had to deal with a wide variety of issues. Such as what the User's OS is. What is their hardware like? Is it using the most modern updates possible? All these things combined had a lot of developers think of the PC as an afterthought. There was also the issue that lack of a proper publishing platform made it difficult. Steam came out in 2003, and picked up the next couple of years. So most people had to deal with the horrid Windows Live type of system.
