This video is SOLELY for educational purposes in preserving home video history. I do NOT make any money off these videos, nor do I want any. If you want the complete shorts, some are available officially on DVD from Olive Films. There are also a number of public domain discs of varying quality. And the original VHS tapes and laserdisc sets are still relatively cheap used.

The second serious attempt at a quality VHS release of classic black and white Betty Boop shorts by NTA/Republic, owners of the original 35mm film elements.
This is the second tape in an 8 tape box set titled The Betty Boop Definitive Collection. This massive and ambitious set from Republic Pictures Home Video compiled most of the surviving Boop cartoons in quality transfers that are still damn great by modern standards. It's one of the few times in the VHS era that a serious attempt was made at anthologizing almost every major cartoon of a famous series in a single multi-tape set.
Volume 2 is divided into two sections. "Pre-Code" features some of the better Pre-Code Betty Boop cartoons and are rather risque in tone for the time. "Jazzy All-Stars" features top jazz and music stars of the era, such as Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Rudy Vallee and even Ethel Merman.
