Original DVD Release Date: March 25, 1997 (making this the very first DVD release ever released ever)
Here's what the opening to the 1997 DVD release of Twister (1996 movie) would look like if it was released by Dimension Films instead of Warner Bros
Here's the order:
1. Green FBI Warning Screen (1991-1997; DVD version)
2. Green Warning Screen (1991-1997; DVD version)
3. Dimension Home Video Logo (1992-2006)
4. Coming Soon To Theaters Logo (1994-2000)
5. Hercules Trailer
6. Con Air Trailer
7. Coming Soon To Videocasette Logo (1994-2000)
8. Emma Trailer
9. Jack Trailer
10. 101 Dalmatians (Live-Action) Trailer
11. Digitally THX Mastered Logo (1997-2007)
NOTE: Fake/fanmade. This, along with the other March 25, 1997 titles were the last few titles to come out in March 1997, since a week later would be April Fools Day in 1997, which would be April 1 (the first day of April) 1997 here
NOTE #2: And with that out of the way, like I said, this was the very first DVD release ever released in home media history ever, and like I said a few nights ago, the earliest DVDs ever released would be from November 26, 1996-March 18, 1997, this was really an important milestone for home media because of this, and the VHS release to this was released on October 1, 1996
NOTE #3: With the addition to this, there are even previews on this version of the DVD release unlike the actual release from Warner Home Video, and it was just their choice, however, trailers on DVDs wouldn't be very common at this point, especially given that this was the first official DVD release in the United States of America, trailers weren't used on DVDs frequently and commonly until like May 1997, and this is a March 1997 title
NOTE #4: This version of the DVD release (just like the actual release from Warner Home Video) would be THX certified and use the Digitally THX Mastered logo before the movie begins and after the opening previews (making this another Dimension title to be THX certified), and the reason this version still has the Digitally THX Mastered logo rather than the Lucasfilm LTD one is because the latter said wasn't around at the time of when this was released, as that wasn't a thing until August 1997 (though there can also be early appearances to that THX logo on releases starting around May/June 1997 or so), but however, the June 6, 2000 release of this movie would have the Lucasfilm LTD THX logo since Dimension was still owned by Disney at this point
And @firstzachattackdvdblu-rayo3142, if you're watching this, this video is for you. What would the opening/extra previews for the May 6, 2008 release to this movie be if it was released by Disney (Dimension) instead of Warner Bros/Universal? If you know, then let me know right here, but if you don't know, then here's my hint: Start by thinking of some previews to stuff that aren't suitable for kids as this movie is also unsuitable for kids and is rated PG-13
