I went through a faith struggle while I was pregnant, almost a year post partum now and still rebuilding a new faith with Jesus but my brain changed so much when I was pregnant and I was so detached from like everyone. I would really appreciate prayer that I will get back at the feet of god bc I need him in my season of motherhood! I miss my relationship with Jesus so much.

Hi Kian. I learned something at church this Sabbath. I learned that in our faith struggles, whether it is doubt or anger towards God, that it is ok. We all will experience this in our walk. Many people in the in the bible doubted. Abraham, John the Baptist, Sarah, Moses etc. yet God was still with them. God is not weak. He can take our doubts and struggles, we can take it to him, He can handle us. He can help us. Also I learned that doubt is nothing but a lack of understanding. So therefore, seek knowledge through the scriptures and God will reveal to you his word.❤️

Thank you SO much for your vulnerability in sharing about your faith struggles. As a Christian it can be so hard to admit when we’re having a “low” season and I relate so much. Thankful that God knows our hearts and He is with us through the highs and lows. Pursuing progress over perfection has been my mantra lately while I navigate this low season. Praying for you sister! 🙏🏽

I'm newly pregnant with my first and I was in SUCH a good place in my faith before getting pregnant and now that I am it is such a struggle!! i can barely pray and read right now and im consuming so much pregnancy content instead of sermons and its been weighing on me..the 1st trimester has me so tired and in bed most of the time lol. before, i was praying nonstop, reading, getting words from God, interceding, helping others, getting that Holy Ghost fire in my home laid out in worship and now i've hit a 180...thank you Jesus for the grace you have on us in different seasons!!

Hearing you open up and be vulnerable about your struggles was something we really needed to hear. I wish more Christians were open about this, because it’s so easy to feel alone or have imposter syndrome when everyone else appears to be perfect. Knowing we all struggle, and seeing how God aids and teaches us during those times is one of the greatest testimonies, and it only gives more glory to Him. While we were yet sinners, God died for us. This is the strength of our testimonies, and much more likely to save souls than appearing perfect and, thus, disconnected to the rest of us who are struggling too and feel like giving up. You are stronger than you think Kian, and we support you as we all go through this together. Thank you for sharing ❤

Hi Kian, I am a Catholic follower here, I appreciate you sharing your faith struggles recently. I have gone through similar experiences as well and I remember feeling this way for a while until I attended Adoration one day. If you are unfamiliar with what it is, Eucharistic adoration is the act of worshipping God as he is present in the consecrated Eucharist. We spend time before the Blessed sacrament, in prayer and devotion, and it is exactly the same as spending time before the living God. Prior to this experience, I always felt like something was missing or my faith was lacking substance. Adoration allows me to be my most authentic self and it is has been a life changing experience. Lots of love.

I had that same "cringe" feeling as you. I had been feeling disconnected and was unable to watch anything online. Eventually, I deconstructed my faith and now don't classify myself so strictly as a Christian. I love God and have a degree in Christian studies, but I couldn't believe in it (at least how it is portrayed) anymore. Sending you love on your faith journey, no matter where it takes you 💖✨🌞

Kian, thank you so much for sharing about your faith. Lately I've been feeling very similar. Sermons are something I've been avoiding and it's because the focus is in "what christians can do for God", "what christians can do to be better christians", "how a christian is supossed tu act", and the message about the love of God for us is kinda blurred. It's great that in church we can support each other and be for each other, but with all this sermons I feel like people is just looking for mistakes in each other and ready to "correct" before even listening (but really listening) to the neighbor. I believe that we need to remember firts of all how big is Jesus love and mercy for us, fill our selfs with it and spread it with everyone.

I can relate to so much of what you shared regarding your current faith struggles and feeling disconnected or “cringed” from the Christian content circulating. My current problem is feeling like so much (sermons, influencers, content, etc.) is trying too hard to be trendy/catchy that it’s completely missing the truth and depth that I’m craving right now. My husband and I recently moved (he’s military) and it’s been difficult trying to find our new church home because of this 😢

Hiya Kian. Thanks so much for sharing about how you’re feeling in your faith at the moment. I value your honesty and openness so much. I’ve watched you for a number of years and I feel like God has really positioned you in this KZitem Christian community to be someone who calls out false doctrine, hypocrisy and incorrect teaching. You have such discernment into what Gods intentions for us as a church whole are and are so on it in terms of calling out when people stray from that. I know that must sometimes be a really emotionally exhausting position to be in, so my prayer for you is that you’re sustained in Gods strength and able to rest in the Lord away from everything and everyone when you need it. Really appreciate your channel, thank you ❤

I totally feel you on the "cringe" of some church sermons lately. My sister and her husband go to a huge well known mega church in my area and I feel bad that I don't really enjoy the sermons when I visit. Like you said, they seem very condemning but not in a way of love/sanctification. It's very prosperity and feel good sermons that I feel like these pastors are creating and then they throw in a few Bible verses to essentially cite their work. I really respect a pastor who teaches from the Bible directly instead. My sister said the other day that when you leave church you should feel like you need to do better, but I was so sad for her to think that. I believe you should leave church humbled by God's love we don't deserve. Church isn't about pointing out our flaws, I believe it's to point us back to Jesus.

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing this so openly and vulnerably! I have been in a season where I've been feeling the same resistance... But I feel like the Lord has been revealing to me that it's actually just me experiencing the growing heart our generation has for more AUTHENTIC, stripped down content and truth that is led by the Spirit, versus just super produced and rehearsed sermons - which I know do speak to people, but I also know for me and many, there's also a deep hunger for things that are just REAL, bare bones, and allow us to just BE WITH GOD without the bells and whistles used to "manufacture" an experience (albeit out of good intent!)... I encourage you to press into how God is stirring in you, because for me I feel like the way he has been highlighting this "holy discontent" and craving for authenticity, though it can be frustrating and uncomfortable, just compels me to keep pressing into creating content that IS authentic and Spirit-led (which yours is, as well!!)... Much love! 🤍

Tailgaters are the worst!!!! Fun fact, in Australia, TJ is actually TK Maxx. I think maybe in the UK too. Kian and anyone who’s expecting a baby, I’ve been thinking about my top choice of baby things I used when I had my baby (nearly 13 years ago)…. *Get yourself a rocking chair with a seperate foot stool that also rocks. *A good feeding pillow. *A “Bumbo”. *A lightweight, slimline, easily collapsible with one hand pram (we had the Japanes Combi brand) - we also had a fancy Bugaboo but it was so cumbersome and annoying and didn’t fit in our little car. *A little lamb cradle swing And some words of wisdom… *Read to baby in your tummy and all through the toddler years. It makes a big impact on their development. *Avoid “baby talking” to your baby and toddler. Just use your normal talking voice. *All the “advice” in the world doesn’t come close to your natural instincts. Do what feels right. I put strict expectations on myself like only breastfeeding for six months - I ended up doing it until she turned 3. I had all intentions of my baby sleeping in a separate room in her fancy cot. We ended up co-sleeping from day one and I wouldn’t change it for the world. All rules went out the window as soon as she came along! Each to their own. Just do what feels right for you. Oh and don’t spend thousands on all new, fancy stuff like we did. There is so much second-hand stuff out there that is really good quality. I’m sure I’ll think of more stuff.. Love watching your baby journey, K&K. 💞

I've also been feeling "cringe" about a lot of christian context and haven't watched any sermons or anything in a longgggg time. I haven't really been able to describe it either! I wonder if maybe were just seeing a lot of nonsense and need to take a step back for a while! I don't know! But having a season of just reading the bible and not having to many different voices speaking into our lives is definitely not a bad thing!! I have been thinking it's kind of weird we have access to soooo many opinions and different theology with the internet and we would never have that in a "normal world"

Hi!❤️ If I can be encouraging, it sounds like you may just be going through a renewal of the mind and you have matured in your walk with Jesus and the Holy Spirit in a way that you crave truth and depth. I resonate a lot with what you said about being cringed by a lot if faith content and zingy wording! 😭It can be so shallow and we just realize that when God starts revealing things to us as we seek Him. I think it is a beautiful thing when you start to feel refreshed by the simplicity of the truth of the word of God, and aren’t distracted by the shallow or zingy words or content. The Bible talks about that: “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,” 2 Timothy 4:3 ESV So I think it is good that you are searching and seeking for something deeper and that you are being led by your convictions and the Holy Spirit!❤️
