A series of longer videos focusing on each part of the airplane modeling process will come out between now and forever, including a video or several on decent rendering of the finished model. OpenVSP takes some getting used to, the more CAD experience you’ve had in the past the better, it helps with the mental processing of eyeballing cross sections from a photo. Once you get past the annoyance of changing everything with sliders it’s not that bad.

Fantastic tutorial. NASA makes hundreds of these and I still can't figure out what the program can do. Tbh it looks like a simplified way to generate mediocre aircraft of the forms NASA is known to create. (Seriously, have they made a single successful airplane in 30 years?).
