Thanks for another quacking video, know these must take a lot of time to stitch together as well as Steve re arranging his life and patio around hatching time. Just a hero. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your dad’s nature documentary, Miss Emma! I chuckled with appreciation at your voiceover reassurance regarding cushioning for the ducklings in the big yellow bucket.

Thank you for all of the great footage and commentary, Steve! I so admire your dedication to the mallards who have made your planter part of their procreation ritual. You, my friend, are a good egg!

Mrs. Mallard remembers your Dad's patio well enough to know it's.a safe nesting spot every year; I wish she could also remember that Dad-with-bucket is there to help. Congrats on another successful Duckling Operation! And a (belated) Happy Birthday to your Dad - who is 1 day older than me.

Cool to see them come back - wonder what family tree of those hatched on the balcony looks like now. One thing though - maybe worth putting something softer on the deck when ducklings jump down - just to minimize any accidents

I really wonder if Mr. Mallard is saying "be good to my babies!" Or maybe, "hey you with the bucket, the babies are ready to go!" 🥰 I didn't realize this is a different Mrs. Mallard than past years. The word has gotten around about Dad's Balcony!

That's what I was thinking, the drake was like "hey, they're all hatched, we're ready for the ferry service! You're in there I can see you, come on out and let these little ducklings down!" There were two families last year, and I believe one of them (the later one I think) was the original Mrs Mallard.

That first brave duckling who jumped down was cracking (quacking?) me up with its little flails and stumbles! Poor dear, haha. Thank you for documenting another adorable ducket adventure!

Is Mr Mallard pecking on the door to make sure Dad is ready to do the bucket maneuver? 🤣

I wonder if Mr. Mallard was pecking at his reflection in the glass door, thinking it was another drake.
