I think we still had dittos in south Louisiana in the eighties and nineties. The teacher would disappear for like a half hour and would come back with these things that sometimes looked like what the youth of today might be able to relate to as a combination of motion blur and Gaussian blur.

Minidisc lasted huge in music recording a longggggg time. I remember some of the punk bands I knew in the late 90's until mid 2000's using them still.
