It looks cool. While not historically accurate, the craftspeople are taking artistic liberties for the sake of art. Also, they may not necessarily know its not accurate.

very true, and I agree looks very cool. But I see a common theme with symbols and runes used like this. So figured I'd throw in my two cents.

It's because they don't actually know about the culture or history. Especially the language.

Blaze Lee I am 39% Scottish Scotland And 29% English NorthW My Y DNA is R1b-L21 Celtic Haplogroup in the most northern clusters of Scotland , up to 23 percent of the people had Norse ancestry. Does this mean I can not follow Norse paganism even though my other percentage of DNA is mostly Germanic Also I’m 4th generation Texan

not at all, most of the Scandinavian folks are very open with others building from the past. There are some folks in America who would claim folks have to have blood ties. But even if you did follow that mind set you have Germanic blood. Norse is a break away from Germania, its the Northern part of those people. there really isn't any norse paganism though it's all new age stuff. we only have rough ideas of what might have been done. but everything today is a reconstruction. I believe that is why some folks get protective over it because neo-pagans are tapping into cultural traditions. but if it's done with respect I don't know any actual norse person who would care. I'm sure someone does but it's not the norm.

@@bubbafromtexas3582 there is also very little known about the celtic traditions as well. most of those have been semi rebuilt 300 hundred years ago mostly through welsh practices. but at the end of the day I would research whatever feels right to you and find your path that way. I personally wouldn't limit yourself based upon your DNA. Is it cool to connect with your ancestors and what they might have done? Yes. but it's not the only way. You need to ask yourself what is more important. Connecting with your own ancestors or just finding a path that calls to you personally.
