I lived in many locations in my 17 years in South Africa. I refer in particular to the North East of SA Nelspruit area where the morning sounds are similar to here in the Province

If you have the right mindset and you do it right (avoid the scammers, they are a minority but westerners are an obvious mark) then there are plenty of great opportunities available in the Province. Don't be a chicken little,. For many the promises of the west are and always have been an illusion, just keep working so that the rich can get richer, indentured servitude. Cheers Aussie John

Speaking as a Canadian, I think, for some retirees you’re correct that it might be a better retirement option. Health care is always a factor to consider but it is definitely an option to consider.

Two things I can’t stand to watch. Shirtless vloggers or vloggers sweating. I thought sniffling vloggers went without saying. But here we are. Peace out. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for your comments …….. at 5.00am a hot humid morning in the tropics ….. after working in the chicken house ……… Yes, i will be sweating and i will be shirtless . My vlog is capturing life on a compound in the Province …… which unfortunately includes hot shirtless men sweating and sniffling. If you don’t like it don’t watch it . Thanlk you i feel much better now as that was 9 days ago. Take care

So as i was born in 1963 i just scrape into the baby boomer period 😜.....As i only worked for 8 years in the UK i am not eligible for a UK pension. I hope to be receiving a German pension in 2030 as i worked in Germany for 20 years. This qualifies me to receive the minimal amount of German pension which is actually more than what i am spending each month now. I can hear you all shouting out......OMG you have to wait another 6 years !!!!! Yep, your right. Before i stopped working i calculated how much money i had, how much money was still to come ( insurances ) and how much money we would need to live on AND have extra money for emergencies. So after 4 years everything is going to plan.....Good planning is the key to success 😜

Today I paid 14,000GBP in NI contributions for the years 2006 - 2024. This rare window closes in April. Automatically gives me 60% of the state pension.

@@derekwatson7037 wow that's 1 million peso !!! I would have to pay around 1400 pounds to be eligible for the minimum pension. I am not sure but I think that's 100 pounds a month. Would it be worth the trouble?🤔
@derekwatson7037

@@kuya.Ian63 Need 10 years for the minimum pension. 35 for the maximum. Amount paid is equal to the fraction of 35 you have paid. So, if you pay for 17 you get half. Full pension is 212 pounds a week. Right now you can pay for 18 ! Rare window that is not usually open and will close in April.

@@kuya.Ian63 For the minimum you would need to pay about 1,600GBP and would get a pension of 3,150GBP a year. Better to pay for more years if you can. Crazy not to grab this open window.

@@derekwatson7037 wow, thanks Derek for the information, i will have to rethink, according to your figures that would be around 20,000peso a month.👍
