Texas Tech I googled and found an article from 2018 this story made headlines and the(then) head if Texas Tech saw it was like thats the kind of person he wants at his school so got his staff to get his number and called and offered him a scholarship!

I have to admit that I got choked up watching this. During these horrible times, this act by this young man and coach gave me hope for humanity. This is the perfect example of why I prefer amateur sports. Watching young people playing for the love of the game is preferable to watching the it's all about me players in the major leagues.

Some things mean more than the score. For this child and his parents to have this small moment of joy to share with others is a true blessing. The boy who passed him the ball is a young man with vision and compassion for others. Remember, it’s a funny thing about special needs. We all have them. Well done young man.

Great coach.Said he was willing to lose the game to give him his moment.Kudos to all. I think I saw an angel sitting up on the backboard. There was no way in heaven that shot wasn't going down. This IS what sport should be all about.

My grandson has C.P. he got to play this year with the schools basketball team. It was so heart warming to see, not only his team pass him the ball, but the opposing team as well. Then all stood back, as he made as many free throws as it took to make a basket. This little act of kindness didn't make, or break a game. It did make a boys heart soar.
