If you are training to be boss at tacking and gybing you need to 'practice perfect'.
In this video you can see the breakdown of a single tack. When you get on water with your coach or your Mum or Dad, or even just on your own, it's best to start training by doing just one tack and then check how you went. Get a feel for any weaknesses or changes you want to make before trying another one. Practice and try to be perfect every single tack.
Once you are nailing a single tack, try doing lots of tacks in a row.
Eventually, you will be able to tack really well anytime. I often ask my coach to tell me when to tack and I have to nail it. In this video he only gives me 2 seconds between tacks. It feels really good when you nail it.
Remember to subscribe to my chenille and pass this on to your Opti friends.
