3 years ago, at a college assay, we proposed a use of Optogenetics for Parkinson, considering its studies on mice. Teachers said we were doing science fiction. Just waiting on researchers like Karl D. who are behind this to earn a Nobel Prize so I can shove it on the teachers face. PS: There is already a gene therapy for Retinitis Pigmentosa called voretigene neparvovec-rzyl, just approved by FDA recently.

THANK YOU so much for making this video. I just finished a semester of behavioral neuroscience and my absolute favorite topic was phototransduction cascade and all this effect light could have on a cell. The entire time I took the class I never knew what optogenetics was and so at some point over my winter break I happened to come across something optogenetics related and it’s been on my mind since. And I’ve been asking “huh? What molecules makes optogenetics work? Is it opsin?”

I'd be interested in knowing if it is possible to do radiofrequency controlled gene expression. There are a lot of photopigments in nature (photosynthetic pigments, retinal pigments) but I'm not aware of any radiofrequency absorbing molecules used by living organisms. However, I have read of radiofrequency absorbing carbon nanotubes and have wondered if these could be somehow linked to gene expression. RF can penetrate tissue more easily than light.

I believe when using any frequency is more like a coomunication with human frequency to make changes, like in quantum biofeedback. It's great, and works. We have this power to do to ourselves we've just been dummies down so much most people aren't aware of our power 😊

The electric field values on my sleeping bed of each dream range from 40-70 v/m a set of 4 or 5 values before the peak which can be usually around 120 V/m and can go up to 400 V/m if the want to wake you up or shake your heart. First, the data were used to train the convolutional neural network model to predict the activity in the brain's visual cortex while the subjects were watching the videos. Then they used the model to decode fMRI data from the subjects to reconstruct the videos, even ones the model had never watched before." This would be interesting if there is a way to use optogenetics to stop PTSD and anxiety attacks. Perhaps even to calm down or chill out people with anger issues or with mental trauma or brain damage. Maybe even if people with a tendency for anxious-sensitivity or PTSD could have the option to stop recent events from forming memories--say if they experienced something unsettling or uncomfortable for themselves they could just prevent the past few hours from forming long term memories. Though, limit that to people who need it so we don't run the risk of people causing large scale amnesia hollywood style. But Heck! I'd pay good money if someone could make a quick "focus" button for my brain. Though I've got to wonder what the repeated effects of optogenetics are? I'd use that button a lot. Also, I'd like to be able to put myself to sleep with the push of a button...I actually would really like that a lot...
