Where are you placing the negativ lead from the multimeter when you measure on the IC?

Anywhere on a metal rail. It's ground.

Any ideas?

Where can I get the LOWESR 260uF 10V capacitors?

Thank you for the process of repairing the buck converter ic which caused the charging issues as shown. I also have the same issues but rather more serious. My charger was overpowered more than 12V and it was damaged. I replaced the power regulator which is to step down 12V to 3.3V for the whole device and the same ic as you have shown of 2 slots.. It could be powered on again but the LCD screen just displayed a self checking page with ERR on the 1st slot. Do you have any idea of how to repair it ? which components needed to replace ?

Most likely the processor got damaged but it's in a COB package so you can't change it. Sorry :(

@@masterfixgr Thanks again for your response. May try again to replace all the possible damaged components of all the 4 slots because I have measured them and found some suspicious readings. As it can power up and start the self-checking step, it may get over if the error can be spotted out. Someone has tested this by giving a reverse polarity power using the diode mode of the multimeter to the connection ends of one slot (red lead to the negative clamp, black lead to the positive clamp). This immediately triggered the self error checking page like mine. This convinces me there is a chance that the processor may still work. It shines up the LCD screen and start the error checking.

I got 4.3V on slot 2 even when there is no battery. Any idea where to look for damaged elements? IC which one you show is okay in mine model.

Just replace output caps of EUP3484 (220uF 10V) on faulty channels, like content maker did. No need to replace any of EUP3484 - they are rock solid. But I will recommend to use polymer (solid ones) caps instead of conventional (organic) electrolytic caps (use thermal shrink sleeve as a protective layer or any sticky tape made for isolation, cause their cases dont have PET sleeve). Polymer caps suits better for this job: Frequency of step-down is fixed and equal to 340KHz, Peak Current is about 5-6A (yeah-yeah-yeah shitty coils must regulate and prevent of HF-high current, but they wont), and they have much more operational lifetime. Recommend values is 68-330uF 6.3/10V (higher capacity IS NOT better in this case). Mine BT-C3100 works about 7yrs after repair, charging 8pcs high current 18650s twice a day (other caps are so-so and you don't need to worry about them). If you've got really faulty EUP3484 just take Richtek's RT7257 (RT8296AH is good also) or MPS's MP2307 (MP1484 are good too) they are totally reliable. But if you wont "cheap quality" of chinese clones use any of these TD1484, AX3484, EUP3484, FP6193, EML3230, PT1204 (they are the same, only have different top marking).

@@SaltyJoeTheFoxgreat information. One cap of mine is also dead. Could you tell what the best cap is to replace (values).

It happened while I was discharging the battery. I smell something burning and it stop working. I looked at the 4 and 2 capacitors on the back and front . It did not look fried. Not sure how to check it.

The screen is directly driven by the CPU. So either your CPU is fried or some component around the CPU is burned. The CPU is COB (chip on board) so it cannot be replaced. It is under the black thing that looks like a round gum. Another possible fault is the screen connector. This is a zebra connector and may get dirty. Unscrew the screen and clean the connector with isopropyl alcohol. You should clean both sides (one is touching the PBC, and the other the LCD display).

Thanx for the video Sir..I have damaged slot no.4 by putting the battery in reverse polariy...I was surprised it did , it happens sometimes but this time it burned.....I opened the charger like you showed us and I have noticed on the 4th slot above the (D1 SS34) there is a blown Q6 and the numbers not available obviously , but the other Q's have no number either....assuming they all have the same value....and why does it have 3 legs....please help!
