1. TH30 because it has the most definition to me. 2. Dark Terror, because even though it is a little less defined to me, it still suits every genre. 3. A hell of a job! Thanks a lot! I'm playing my trusted RV MKI 50 head with 4x6V6 now for at least 10 years and never looked back. The four gainstages on the drivechannel provide many different tones. I experimented with preamptubes for the clean channel which sits somewhere between a Vox and a Fender. It's chimey and has quite some headroom for bigger venues. The OR15 has the same sort of od-structure as the RV. But in fact I liked most of the demo'd amps. I'm just not to keen on the Dark-versions. But that's personal.

@@daw162 Now I have no problem craping on the commie, organ harvesting, shit land that is China, but a good bit of it is the wattage. The headroom really comes through in the recordings. Love the OR15 and is absolutely in my wish list. To my ears it seems to have less round attack than the Rocker 15 or the dual terror but has a kind of tight creamy dirty tone I find awesome. Maybe only issue is to go from a clean intro to a dirty in same song. Anyway fx loop is a feature I couldn’t miss and for this Or15 would solve some tone adjustment and also give more modern effects to the clean headroom that is possible to obtain. The “shape” knob seems to work like the “contour” knob on my old transistor amp (Marshall MG30). Since that one was positioned in between the bass and treble knob, though, it made me assume I preferred a high-mids sound, rather than a scooped low-mids sound. This led me to dial the ENGL Invader in exactly the wrong way when I first tried it out. Then again, from all the demos of the Invader I’ve heard here on KZitem (Mk I and MkII), I found neither particularly impressive - at least considering the price. Now they no longer seem to be available anyway. Looks like I’m not the only one who never really liked their sound - even though I wanted to (given the four independent EQs for each channel).

Very cool video. I assume these were re-amped tracks, as the playing sounds identical between amps. Anyway, I listened super close and for crunch, the TH30 and RV50 had that 3D enveloping tone. The AD30 nailed the clean and had some noticeable chime on the crunch. For high gain, I would go Tiny Terror, which sounded similar to the Root and Dual Terror. Rocker 15 and RV50 and even the OR15 were nice for high gain as well and sounded really similar. I would not go with the AD30, TH30, or Dark for high gain unless you were doing super dark sludge, and I wouldn’t go with the Tiny Dark (whatever the last amp was) for any of the tones.
