Beautiful texture. Williams is a true master of wistful woodwinds.

I agree, he's absolutely amazing, and there's a lifetime of learning that can come from his scores 😁

Absolutely, even a 4 bar analysis is a masterclass in orchestration. BTW regarding texture suggestions for upcoming videos. Are you familiar with Gareth Coker's score for "Ori and the Blind Forest"? I would love to finally see someone do a breakdown. Although, I've found it difficult to find the sheet music (beyond than piano reductions) so, it could be tricky.

Omg I was just talking about this exact topic with a friend yesterday! That texture is one of my all time favorites, it really takes you into that magical forest. I've found it hard to find sheet music too, but maybe a best guess by ear would still be useful?

@@FraserMyersMusic That's wild! haha The entire score is just phenomenal. Amazing if you can pull it off by ear. But, honestly don't stress about this suggestion, I know how time consuming that would be. Btw, great job on the visual aids for these videos i.e instrument ranges on keyboard, melody/ harmony grouped by instruments etc. it's refreshing to watch tutorials that aren't just in black and white notation. The effort you put in really shows.

I Wonder if John Williams ever watches these videos and is like “bro I was just guessing, idk what you’re talking about” Seriously tho, great video
