Garner, I was friends with Archie Moore. We were in the VA in Coatesville. I was there with him twice. Once in 1994, and again a few years after that. When I discovered that some company had your song in a compilation record, I told him about it and he called Kenny Gamble. I lost track of Archie. Apparently from what you said, he's no longer with us. It's a lovely song, very Philly.

Thank you for this tune. My brother and I born and raised in Compton, California. My older brother left the 45 with me when he left to Vietnam. He was killed in the war in '68. The record disappeared but thank God it can still be heard. Brings back special memories. Thanks again for making it available.

I knew one of the background singers, Archie Moore of West Philly. Archie was a Viet Nam vet and a lovely, lovely gentleman. I've heard that he has since passed away, and from what he'd told me, he never made a penny from this recording. If I revealed here who the record producer was, you wouldn't believe it, but he ripped Archie off really badly.

Love this song; didn't know it was a big hit in the burgh (Pittsburgh). I may have first heard in in 1967 on my way to work on the Terry Lee show, Music for Young Lovers, The magic of the TL Sound! Just rediscovered a few years ago. We didn't have social media back then ; but it would have been nice to see this group perform this song. Maybe on American Bandstand.
