is it possible to remove root items from agenda? Remove default tag from them may be?
@felizxett6618
Жыл бұрын
Having the top-level headings show up as items in the agenda really doesn't make any sense to me, they're not actionable todo items. How would you go about getting rid of those?
@DistroTube
Жыл бұрын
One easy way to get rid of them is to write "DONE" at the beginning of your top level headers, since in my custom agenda view, it filters out all items marked with "DONE."

Emacs org-agenda becomes interesting once you're already in emacs to do other stuff. Writing (code or otherwise) or note-taking (zettelkasten or otherwise), so that you migrate more and more to emacs. Migrating to emacs only to use org-agenda doesn't really make sense i think.

I have a mission for Emacs enthusiasts. May it be any IDE / Note Taking application there are 3 prerequisites 1.Synchronisation 2.Encryption 3.Cross platform support spl on Android/iPhone. Without that it's seriously handicapping. Can we achieve this using elisp? Or Lua or any module available?

I wish, but that won't happen for many. Since I started using (Doom) Emacs about six months ago I have become an absolute fanboy. And, while I may look at Agenda again for some personal stuff it is of no use to us poor souls that are tied to an enterprise Outlook calendar all day.

Linux is about choice, we can all choose what we want to run and how to run it - no, I don't use Arch, I have been a Gentoo user for 20 years now, which probably tells you all you need to know about how I like to run my systems. If you like OpenSuSE and XFCE (I use XFCE or i3) then good luck to you and I hope it works for you. But treat everyone else like adults capable of making their own decisions.
