Excellent! A great use of the 'paper doll' modelling technique to lay out the initial silhouette. Thank you for this demonstration!

First off, thankyou for this channel! After 2 awful experiences hiring designers and casting companies to do my work I gave up and will be designing and printing myself. Your videos are a great inspiration! But I do have a question: Most of my gems are non standard sizes, would it be better to buy a 3D scanner camera to import the stones for exact fit, or can I measure by hand?

you can 1. 3D scan but higher budget. 2. you can scan 2D for a facet stone (table down), then trace the same in Rhino to create a stone. then scale to extact size. (lower budget)
