Shopaholic combined with never wanting to let anything go 🤦♀️ My no buy year was genuinely life changing, stopping shopping mindlessly has taught me an awful lot about money and myself. 😊 Thanks for watching Kerry x

I NEVER let things go! I’m 33 and have clothes from college still in bags in my garage or hanging in the spare closet that don’t fit I just can’t part with. Or products I bought that weren’t great I just keep thinking I’ll eventually use them as to not waste the money. It’s an annoying habit of mine lol. So I get how it can appear to be like your shopping a ton in excess if you never declutter!

@@hollywilliams04 ha ha I know that trouble, I hate being wasteful. Yes some of the clothes I have were purchased 15 years ago - some I still wear, but there’s been a fair bit to let go of!

Thank you Kirsty, another great video🥰 I too have just done my shoes and handbags, things which have been hard to part with in the past. Like you I have got rid of half of them both. Declutting something each week has really helped me and can honestly say every couple of weeks things are going to friends, family or charity shops🥰xx

You know I really like what I refer to as slow decluttering, little and often. I feel like you are more able to push past all those feelings that make us hold on to things - guilt, sunk cost fallacy, etc etc - doing it all in one go would never have worked for me. I also think it can be like a muscle, you’re weak at first and can’t part with much, but over time, and with practice, you become stronger and can let things go. 😊 xx

Yes I’m familiar with Kon Mari, and have read The Magic of Tidying Up some time ago. I’ve tried it before but didn’t like it. It actually wasted space as the drawers are deep. Thanks for the suggestion though! X

Hi Kirsty. I can't believe you ever wore some of those heels - you must have had constant nose bleeds! :)) Well done for letting go of so much stuff though, it's not easy. I hope your finance videos aren't gone for good - I really enjoyed them. Your prediction for UK inflation to hit double digits before the year-end came true today - no surprise but, still, miserable news for so many. Best wishes.

I’ll try to keep some in from time to time, I found that they drew a lot of odd comments and trolling so I just couldn’t be bothered (well at least with the headline roundups). I did enjoy doing the recession video though, and I must admit I feel very vindicated being right when at the time of filming all the media were saying it wasn’t on the cards. Like you say it’s horrible situation though, one I continue to be concerned about. Xx

Hi Laura, interesting you should ask, I'm normally really good (after years of struggling with a bit of binging/disordered eating at times), but although my diet is probably still better than some, I have let things slip a little recently. Starting back on track on Monday with a view to be back in all the clothes that now feel a little tight - was thinking I might document the process of doing it healthily and then share. The horrible truth is the basics that we don't like are the answer - reduce sugar, reduce or eliminate processed foods, good quality sleep, stress management, plenty of water, regular but realistic exercise (I genuinely think resistance exercise is brilliant for women, have always been in some of the best shape of my life when I included it, despite being someone who is not ordinarily a gym rat) etc etc - not sure if that helps! x

Hi there, I will try to add some in to my content, I'm probably not bringing back the cost of living crisis round up videos though as they brought a lot of trolls to my channel so I just cant be doing with the hassle! (I'll never say never though), but I'm sure I'll do other things. For me the decluttering has been a large part of shaping my relationship with money so that's one of the reasons I include them in my range of content. :)

I'm definitely embracing a flat more than I used to. I think many of my friends are similar - lockdowns and so on over the last few years meant we got out of the habit of wearing them. I don't wear them much day to day so I think more will have to be decluttered in the end.

@KirstyKirby
2 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that. Funnily enough I did consider this myself yesterday, that it wouldn’t necessarily be everyone’s cup of tea and that something more laid back might be more inclusive, although this type of music is quite common place in vlogs/declutter videos and so on. Unfortunately I'd already uploaded by the time I thought more about this so it was too late to make any changes. I’ll never be able to suit everyone’s taste though sadly even if I try really hard to do so! I went for something upbeat as some of the super mellow stuff people use in some videos seems oddly out of place. Really appreciate the constructive feedback though.
