Yes! I was getting all worried about the cost to laminate lol. I'll take this route instead. And did you end up using those loose leaf pages in the kid binder? Would a mini dry erase board be just as good or are we supposed to keep track of words on paper?

I prefer paper as it allows me to show their progress plus I want my daughter to practice writing on lines as spacing can be a challenge for her.

I'm conflicted. I already own AAS 1-6 from the old version. I love not having all the extra pieces, also I see how it could be more fun to go with the new books. Hmmm 🤔

Same! I'm probably just going to save the money and go with the old curriculum. Even though I want to buy the fun one so badly!

I don’t think there is anything wrong with not buying the new. They do have a supplemental game book that can be played with any spelling list that’s only $20. For me the deciding factor was that I wanted the new one for the advanced spelling list for older kids because I have older students working through the book.

@@LifeintheMundane wait, wait, wait! I missed both those things. It has an advanced spelling list option? There is a game book without purchasing everything? Did you cover that? If not, that's your next video!

I do this for AAR as well with the binder & page protectors but I add in the new cards for each lesson as well so they are not in my box. Once used I then put them in the box. That way for each lesson I just grab review box and then the new lesson that’s already complied together in my page protector.

Do you have an amazon list? Curious what page protectors you usually use. And want you to get the kick back if any

Hi do you recommend this over diane craft or start with diane craft then jumping into aar?
@LifeintheMundane

It very much depends on the kid. I typically recommend starting with AAS first as most kids will learn well with it and it’s so open and go. Diane Craft is not open and go at all, it can be more difficult to implement and you don’t teach spelling using rules it’s more about visual memory. That being said for my oldest he had to have a different way and it’s been great but it’s not the best method for most kids. So long answer short start with AAS if it’s not working then you could try Diane Craft
