I love it! I wish I could pull up the carpet in our basement and put down those mats, however, we rent so I am pretty sure we cannot.

The horse mats are pure genius!!! The flooring has been what has been stopping me from moving my gym to the basement.

Nice gym. I dont think you needed to worry about the dumbbells to save space. Your gym is bigger than most peoples houses and apartments!

This will be for your viewers, you should consider metal dumbbells. You can buy weight magnets, that attach to the metal one's. 1 1/4lb. There is a company called platemate, that does these. These magnets are good for laterial raises.

Great high quality home gym! Very clean. If you buy a pulley system from Spud Inc, you can incorporate lat pull downs and push downs into your workout. They’re around $100. Buy once, cry once!

Nice basement gym. What is the ceiling height in your basement gym? I'm thinking about building a gym in my basement

Absolutely a job well done! I’d love a home gym like this...you’ve inspired me today. Since every builder counts the cost beforehand..If you don’t mind for the average lay person..How much did the whole thing cost to put together? Also, how much time (labor hours) did it take? What size basement or room is needed? All the links are great & I’ll be sure to use them so you get affiliate credit should we purchase any of this equipment. All wise business ladies/Mom’s working from the home totally get it’s not free! #homegymgoals. Celebrities & Corporate’s may get full Sponsorship (free stuff) but few small business or working class folks do. PS. If you did get Sponsored good for you! Please tell us how your organized that in a future blog. 😉😊👏🏻

Hi, Sherry! Thank you so much for your kind words! As far as time goes, the most time intensive thing for us was prep-- removing all of the insulation, sealing the whole basement, and painting the walls in the nook and the beam. I bet that took us 15 or so hours? Once we had the equipment, we just spent a few Saturdays putting it together. That part was pretty straightforward. We purchased everything ourselves. I'm not a fitness blogger/influencer, so nothing was sponsored. I would estimate that we spent around $7,500 total. (Some of the pieces were less expensive when we purchased them than what they are listed at currently, I'm guessing due to high demand.) It was an investment, but these are pieces that will hold up for a long, long, long time, and they are used daily, so we decided to bite the bullet and do it. I hope this helps! Have a wonderful week! 💕

@@AbbyOrganizes Thank you SO much for being totally candid, forthright, & transparent in your answer. It’s truly refreshing! It’s entirely not the norm. Your gift of organization is truly amazing & “Donny” the husband has major support skills also (those Sons will come in handy for future heavy lifting..mine are grown.) The system on your blog is very simple & honestly from what I’ve seen anyone could follow. Future book? Thank you for breaking it down & making all who have had the pleasure of connecting with you better. God Bless & Shine on! 💕

Space Saving Rack Attached to the wall and floor is sturdy and takes up only about 27" along the wall. Much better option for a small space. Available from a number of companies. I went with the Titan Fitness rack.
