Hi Emma, I'm not usually someone to comment something like this - but you are a person I greatly admire and respect in this community and I love this video - you talked in your sponsored section about how therapy has really helped you with your queer identity and thats super amazing. Unfortunately, Better Help has a history of really hurting its queer users by matching them with unsupportive people who attempt to convert them or say harmful things, along with issues of them allowing unlicensed therapists onto the website and other similar issues. In a time where many queer people are struggling with their mental health I understand you had the best of intentions with this, however I think a lot of your audience, myself included, would appreciate you looking a bit more into their company before accepting a sponsorship. Much love, and absolutely no hate intended like I say I adore your content and don't allow a silly person on the internet to sway your views, I just figured you should know about this and reconsider taking a sponsorship with them next time.

@pattycookie2011 yeah I wanted to comment bc - I don't assume Emma is being willfully ignorant I think it's likely they genuinely did not know - and therefore a lot of people watching might not know also so just a psa there are other forms of online therapy and if we're being realistic therapy is not smth u want to be cheap with- the reality is if better help is offering therapy that cheap there's probably a catch and unfortunately the catch means they're just not ethical as a mental health service

I have found that only keeping yarn around that I know what I'm going to do with helps a lot with my organization. I don't do a lot of scrap work, so I end up taking any extra yarn after a project and just dropping it off somewhere usually. But I also tend to plan several projects ahead, so buying for exact purposes works for me. I like seeing how other people organize their stuff and go through the process of getting it ready for use.

It's always satisfying to go through and see what you've got and take stock of what you want to keep/do things with and the like. I remember when I first put my (admittedly ridiculously large hoarded) Felici stash into bins and then later reorganized into something approximating alphabetical order. I even labeled what colorways were in which bin. Of course, now I've used some and some are still pulled out . . . it never ends lol.

I will be 61 on Monday and I can’t possibly knit and crochet fast enough to use up all this yarn before I die, but yet............ 🤪 Emma, it saddens me that you even have to struggle with your identity. In this day and age you shouldn’t have to. Sending lots of love from Arkansas! 🧶🧶🧶

I over bought yarn while working from home during the pandemic. As soon as I had to be back in the building my crochet time was cut by 90%. I ended up gathering bags and organizing my yarn by project (yarn and printed patterns together) and then into bins based on project size. So I have a bin for blankets, sweaters, small projects, and TBD. Also, shout out to Make+Mend. They are great!

Hi Emma, I have a suggestion/mini challenge for you that will use up some of the things in your scary bag of swatches, random flowers, tapestry, and random loose granny squares. Take the ones that match the best and you like the look of together, and combine them using your scrap yarn to make a peice that appears to be free hand. I'd recommend watching Jenna Phipps's "i tried free hand crochet for the first time.." video to understand what I'm trying to get at. It will use up a bunch of your random bits and bobs and it will come out looking really nice depending on which peices you knit/crochet together. Best of luck!
