In this cake decorating tutorial, I show you how I made an origami themed cake using white chocolate ganache and acetate sheets! This technique has a huge WOW effect. it can be used on a tiered cake or even a single tier. It can also be done in any color you would like by using color gels. American buttercream, Swiss meringue and just chocolate can also be used.
For the ganache, I used white chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream. The ratio is 3 parts chocolate to 1 part cream. For milk chocolate, I would do 2.5 part chocolate to 1 part cream. Dark chocolate would be 2 parts chocolate to 1 part cream.
The acetate sheets I purchased at a local craft store. You can find larger rolls on Amazon.
